Thank you very much for the update.

Very interesting, and very in character, IMHO.

More soon, I hope.

As always, a very fun trip. Stupid Malfoy, and Trelawney actually not quite with her head in the clouds? Shocking.

Oh, and was the Tick Tock Diner a real place, or was that tribute to John?

Wow, I can't believe how much this chapter covered. The only shame is that with Beauxbaton's victory last chapter, it was a foregon conclusion that Hogwarts would win. I'm sorry I can't really point out whatever tipped me off to it (prior to Lee's pre-game commentary), but it was an impression that grew on me.
I like the post-hogwarts future you have set up, and I particularly agree with Ron's assesment: After beating down Voldermort, there really aren't any enemies that can worry Harry. They only continue to exist out of the goodness of his heart or indifference (if he doesn't know them).
Truely amazing update.

Love this so far. Since its 10:30 at night, I'm gonna read the rest tomorrow. Like it lots so far. Usually, I'm really iffy on the Harry/Gabriel fics, but I thank you for not putting Ginny in it muc as I am an avid Harry/Ginny fan. What about Moony though? Did Arthur and Molly die or something? You never put them in... Also, do Ron and Hermione have kids? You'd think with that curse that they would.

Wow! As usual, this chapter was well worth the wait. Excellent work on the Quidditch competitions, and the scenes with Harry and Gabrielle were an excellent gauge of the progress of their relationship. I had wondered if perhaps Harry had any additional motives behind getting his old squad together for the instructors' match, and I see that I was right about that. Truthfully, I can easily see Harry's new team taking the league by storm, and the reputation of the core squad letting them easily attract quality reserve players. Not to mention that it gives more of the Cadre a chance to directly help out, after all, I'm sure that there are plenty of people in that group who would fit in well as fitness trainers and support personnel.

On another front, it was nice to get a few more loose ends tied down with the mention of what happened with some of the other canon secondary characters. It's too bad about Remus and Tonks, but hopefully they went out in a way that gave them both good honor guards to follow to the next adventure. Cho being a traitor was a bit surprising, but I suppose that there must've been something Voldie offered her or that she thought she could get that made the idea of selling out worthwhile.

And speaking of selling out, I'm really going to enjoy seeing what happends with Trelawney when she goes against Harry. It looks like she's going to try for the political end of things, and while Harry appears to be weak in that area, his last few rounds of manipulation of public opinion would seem to indicate that he has unexpected talents in that area as well.

At any rate, I hope that your Muse continues to feel frisky and fruitful, and I'll be eagerly waiting for the next installment in the storyy... or any of your other stories, whatever the mood strikes you to write.

Wonderful chapter! I am interest to see how they deal with Hermione's information on breaking the bond.

Thanks for writing!

Woo Hoo! Happy Dance! Happy Dance! I am loving this story! I'm assuming that it won't be long now before you reveal whatever potion or spell Snape is controlling Dumbledore with. I also noticed that you got rid of Malfoy before the last quidditch match.

I'm really looking forward to what Harry will do about the article that is about to come out. Also, I'm highly anticipating the marriage proposal - very sweet scene with Jean and Harry by the way. OK, I'll admit it - I'm just looking forward to whatever comes next. Thanks so much for the extra-long chapters.

Oh, about the phrase "you have another think coming" - It really is "think" because you are disagreeing with the thought and idea that the individual currently has, therefore leading to the need for another "think" (telling them to think about that idea again and they'll see what's wrong with it). Most of us don't enunciate and as a result it sounds like "thing". Just in case you were still wondering about it.

A devoted fan,
Cheryse

This rocked it was so much fun. Some questions is the next chapter the last? Are we going to find out what is up with Albus? Are you going to use Harry's or your idea for a supper Quidditch team? In this story or maybe a oneshot sequel. Thank you for this story & all the work that went in to it.

Wow...You know, I was sitting at my desk at work....I had some 'lazy time' and I checked the website. There were people that heard me squeal like a girl when I found your update, but at least it was worth it. Every line of it. Great chapter, heres hoping the next one comes up soon.

awesome work, as always a masterpiece. Pity you're not updating this once a week again, but it's still some of the best work around, as well as your other stories. I hope we get an update soon :P sorry for saying it... but we just NEED your updates.

Almost like HP7 coming out. Whee!!
Thanks Tim, excellent work as always.
Can't wait for the last? chapter.
Superb chapter. And o0o, Sybill sounds ominous in this otherwise sunny chapter.

Damn, man, I haven't laughed this hard in a long, long time. I always love seeing Malfoy getting his due. Keep up with the awesome work!

Tim,

Don't get me wrong, I love your writing, but you can take your tea snobbery and go to hell. You can keep your hot English tea. I'll take mine sweet and iced and there isn’t a damned thing you can do about it. However, I will grudgingly accept your commentary on American sports.

We like our sports. We have a lot of them. And we have a virtual monopoly on overrated and over played athletes save perhaps Beckham. We have March Madness which, as an alumnus of an ACC university, I can say isn’t merely a basketball tournament, but a cultural event that empties offices and fills bars, taverns, pubs or any other location where you can order alcohol by the glass and bask in the warm glow of a television. However, for as much as we like all are various sports, professional and amature, there is no other force on this earth like the fanaticism behind European football. I had the privilege to travel across much of Western Europe and the British Isles in 2004 during the Euro Cup. I’ve never watched football. I don’t follow it. But even I found myself being swept up by the mass interest in football. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. I didn’t have to be near a TV or radio to know if a team had scored; the whole city around me would erupt with noise. With the possible exception of Boston Red Sox fans, there’s nothing live it in America. In case you were wondering, I did cheer for England. At least I knew what language their commentators were speaking. We won’t speak of the overtime shootout. Also, I will thank you for the comment about time outs. Watch a game of American football and you’ll see where timeouts, especially for television commercials, take the skill of clock management out of the game.

Anyway, let me get back to the story at hand. Once again, you’ve seemed to channel some of the brightness that made/makes "This Means War!" so much fun. Considering all the darker stuff that you have wrote with WK, GQ and a lot of the following short stories, I started to miss the brighter aspects of your writing. The subtle comedy cuts through the tension of the drama nicely and you seem to have a gift of using it in proper measure. Not that your other stories lack it, but it’s nice to see things venture towards the playful side. All the conflict in this chapter of Hope had the proper comedic tone and well illustrated the comic but troublesome nature of how the English ministry and Hogwarts are being managed. I don’t know how good your are at your day job, but you’re becoming a masterful writer. Though, judging by how well you keep ffa.net running, I expect that you’re good at your day job as well. I hope they pay you well for it.

To close, I would just like to say thank you. Thank you for writing. Thank you for sharing your craft and your muse. Thank you for being an imaginative storyteller. And thank you for sharing your efforts with all of us out here in fanfiction land.

Lee Jordan rules! I loved his commentaries!
Nice game of Quidditch - old Gryffindor against the Hogwarts staff - and nice idea for a new team.
I never thought we would have to worry about Trelawney. That will teach me to never understimate a vindictive person.

Finally! Oh my gosh, that was awesome! Definitely worth the wait! I just wanted you to know, your story is the most unique Harry pairing I've ever come across. (And believe me, I've come across alot) I'm so happy that you are back! Oh, and I have a question: Which chapter in 'This Means War' has Harry and Ginny meeting Dudley and his girlfriend? I can't seem to find it. Did you delete it? I hope not....Anyway, good job on the chapter, nice ending and semi-cliffhanger!
