Wow, talk about an utterly grisly scene there at the end...but I could totally see Moody keeping a framed picture of Bellatrix's parts on his mantle! lol I really, really liked Harry's line about 'come to the insane side, we have cookies,' as well as Fleur dealing with her bratty little sister like she did.

What a nice and cute group of totally insane lovely people...

No, seriously it was fun to read, even though maybe the hair was let down half a foot too much to be still comfortable to watch... Boris for example direly needs a "serious" scene some time in the future... maybe a duel when some of their real estate sellers take offense at the deals... anyway something to show he is not just a psychotic cardboard russian with a very strange sense of humor. Not that he wasn't sympathetic and brought a lot of levity to the evening, still... there's something missing in times as they live in.

I'm really ecstatic about the short talk Harry had with Derek about his love life and the little scene with Hermione and him "clearing the waters" about not being depressed that it's not in their future to be lovers was right behind that in favorability. Great ideas and really sensitive writing. Kudos.

I just had a weird idea/thought... it would almost be worth to not immediately off Voldi, but rather bloody him hard and send him to lick his wounds for let's say 3 years, so the end of their "agreement" with Dumbledore nears its end and the smithy things are already far on the path to becoming a real business and all... the parents prank company could also bee booming and maybe it took over the stewardship for WWW? Good ideas make good investments and with the fast way Fred and George diversified in the official books they might even complement Harry's armor and weaponry work... btw will he or rather his "business go to girl" integrate some clause into the vending contracts for armor and/or weaponry to not be wielded in followship to a Dark Lord or something like that?

Another good chapter. Besides the gold to be made, not enough emphasis was made about the opportunity that will avail itself to make changes in British magical society if the light side overcomes Voldy.

I liked it.

The fic Harry Potter: Master of Luck by: ManMadeofLasers (over at FF.net) has Harry seeing the elves as "his" people - he actually helps out in the Hogwarts' kitchens because he enjoys it. You might like the fic - it's well-written and not a Mary Sue or too much cliche.

I'm very disappointed that Harry and Hermione won't be together in this fic. She's such a natural fit for him that it's hard to see her with anyone else.

Just one continuity issue I thought I should point out, that I noticed this chapter. You have the line: " he could see an Asian couple that were clearly Cho’s parents, and an English-looking couple that he guessed where Cedric’s parents "

Harry doesn't know Cedric's mother, but he's already been introduced to Amos Diggory before your AU/divergence point begins - he meets Amos (with Cedric) when they meet up with Amos to take the portkey to the Quidditch World Cup, so he shouldn't need to guess for him ;).

I really liked Harry's comments to Mr. Greengrass about how he acted the stupid teen about girls. Smart boy that one! I've just reread Hogwarts' Dawn and either laughed or cried the entire way. Perhaps it was my allergy to the pines since I've got the windows open, lol. Thanks for sharing.
