It's been so long that I had to start over at the beginning again--and I enjoyed it! This has continually shaped up into a compelling story ... and I LOVED the Yule Ball! hahahahahehehehehohohoho!

Oh how I've missed you and your beautiful stories. I love you and your writing style. It is pure....amazingness. The whole scene but not scene of harry bringing home a girl to his parents was...utterly perfect. I read it out loud to myself because I wanted to hear it, not just read it. Brilliant. and I can't wait for more. :)

That was an excellent chapter. Very evocative. I wonder if Harry will still go to Beauxbatons next year--and if Dumbledore will let him...

Wicked last line. What a lovely Christmas to give to Harry. I grinned at the line where Dobby fought off the other elves to make him breakfast. Thanks a lot for the update.

This is an awesome fic, I love how you made it so he grows into his powers instead of just being slammed with them and then automatically knowing how to use them.
Also, just one little thing that's not a really big deal, just out of idle curiosity, what happened to Neville? He seems like a quiet boy, yes, but I always thought he was Harry's friend?
Anyway, I love this story and hope you continue because this is such an intriguing read.
"Who said I didn't?"
Awesome!

So I'm sitting here after reading one of the absolutely most poignant chapters I have EVER read trying to come up with adequate enough words to express how much this chapter meant to me - how much it impressed me. I have tears running down the side of my face because of this chapter; a chapter in a fan fiction story based on a fictional character.
You are, without a doubt, the best fan fiction writer out there right now. I have others I may appreciate or enjoy from time-to-time, who write well, who put a good story together, etc but NONE of them - not a single one, puts a story together as well as you do. Even the stories that you seem to be less impressed with yourself are what I consider works of art.
I am so very happy to see this chapter from you - to have read it - and I know I'll read it over and over again (as I do with This Means War and many of your other stories).
You are the King Jeconais. I bow to you.

Okay, now I don't know which of your current works I like the best. Good job, then, that you updated all three in the last few days, yeah? :)
For a fic that you've described as "over the top," you definitely caught the emotional hooks in this chapter. I have a feeling you're planning to end this one before they get to Beauxbatons, which would be a shame. If that is the case, hopefully there will be enough story (and muse) left after 4th year to make a sequal.
So, who's gonna be the girlfriend arranged by F&G, or did Kate fill that role? Also, I'm looking foward to seeing what happens with the second task. Will Gabbi still be chosen as a hostage? If so, Harry's reaction and actions will be interesting to read. Not to mention Hermione is his "sister." And with Ron being on the outs, I have a feeling Gabbi will be Harry's hostage, if anyone's, which means who will be Fleur's missing person?
Hmmm......

Ok, the whole dance with Michael I did NOT see coming. :D Nice little ... twist I suppose. And the finisher about insanity was nice too. :D
One question - with the patching up with Dumbledore will Harry be tempted to change his mind about changing schools?

Yeah, what XHawke "said". Brilliant, wonderful chapter. But :( never this long again, please.

Pro: What can I say about this chapter? Absolutely awesome! You would think that Fleur would come around by now...but no...petty as ever. The ball/dance routine with Sinistra was perfect and hints at something that could be...
Con: The only con I could come up with is..... WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO UPDATE!!!!! We love this story. PLEASE dont make us wait this long! LOL!

Excellent chapter! I must say I like the way you are handling the characters. If I don't see Ron and Ginny other than being bashed I'll be a happy campter.

I felt that Harry let Dumbledore off the hook too easy, Dumbledore ask a mean question asking Harry what his parent would say. Dumbledore know that Harry don't know anything about his parents, so there no way Harry could know what his parent would say.
How is Dumbledore going to learn from his mistakes, If Harry just going give him a free pass ?

This story is everything I have come to expect from your work. Excellent. I particularly like how you have realized that Gabrielle can show Harry the innocent and pure love of a child. The-power-he-knows-not is love, and the love of a child can be shockingly powerful.
