Again, another wonderful chapter. It's such a pleasure reading your stories. The only thing more to ask for would be more frequent updates.

Ok
so I think I'm piecing the backstory together a little bit more. I get the impression that most of the problems with Dumbledoor are coming from prolonged use of his pensive. I tseems like he is removing the thoughts which are distressing him and it is making it seem like he is forgetting things and is muting his perceptions on the world maybe even helping gloss over possible ramifications to his actions.
I am also wondering if Harry will use this incdent to try and investigate Draco's past behavior with students and possibly get him sacked. Then maybe moving on to Snape as well through things uncovered in the investigation. Because as it stands I don't see Harry Olympia or the Durmstrong Headmaster letting Draco have contact with any of the students from rival schools after this.
There are a few things which are bothering me a little.
1. Dumbledoor seemed confident about winning this little tournament. As such I am wondering if he even has this Cup of Throbus. Given how much distrust exists between him and everyone I would have thought Madame Maxiene or Harry would have asked to view it.
2. We konw that Jene Decluer(sp) has known about Gabrielle's bonding for years now. I am amazed with how much Harry distrusts extra motivations that he has never asked wether the Bond was the reason for him to support Harry so strongly in the war against Voldemort. In order to protect his little girl's sanity. While Jene and Harry may have been friends I still am surprised Harry hasn't asked if this was the readon they met and Jean wanted to get to know him.
There were two things that I really didn't get though. What is this "Sport" thing that HArry is suppossed to be? Is this a term you coined? I tried looking it up with genetic variations but couldn't find anything. And I understand that we haven't seen everything but I can't believe the revelation that harry is some kind of evolutionary anomaly is so dangerous to know. I would think it would make him stand out even more saying once and for all "this man is in his own class take him on at own risk".
The other thing that is odd to me is how Gabrielle became physically ill from Draco's touch. I mean I understand she is bonded but it was liek she was an empath and started to have a short term bond to draco while he touched her. Is that a condition of her bond with Harry not being completed or a facet of her bond becoming much more open? Is it somehow related to her being independant of the mating? She had been avoiding contact and would be unaware of feeling these psuedo bonds with other people if she hadn't ever really come into contact with other males. But I find it hard to bielive that it never happened at her school (sorry can't spell it and to lazy to look up). One of the most interesting thoeries I have come up with is that it relates to Harry's ability to konw when he is around Dark Magic, the physical contact with Draco had Gabrielle taping itno her bond for comfort and unleashed some of Harry's powers and let her feel the taint and darkness inherent in Draco (which if HArry does feel it might explain why he always hated Draco and can't stand him now).
I spent a lot of time trying to think these thoughts through and leave a nice review because I am more of a recent member of ffa.net and your yahoo group. I have been following lately how you might try starting somehow giving incentives for good reviews. I would like to point out that while I think it is a wonderful idea, I tend to find it hard to review most of your work simply because it is so polished and well done. Other than giving praise at how you have created such a wonderful story or chapter I don't have much else left to say. It took me a while to think up these questions and comments and honestly I don't know what good they might do to you since your story seems fairly set out already.

Very nice but my crystal ball tells me that malfoy won't quit, snape will continue being a bastard and dumbledore will try something agianst harry and Gab...although my crystal ball may be broken, time will tell.
On a serious note this rocked, I wonder if harry will experience any pain in having his eyes fixed, also everthing seems to be going harry's way, so I'm thinking your going to throw in a curve ball soon.
Can't wait! :)

A very captivating chapter, Tim. I just loved how Dumbledore was put down throughout the chapter, especially in the meeting with the staff of Beaxbatons and Durmstrang.
I would classify the ending as a deliberate cliffy and await another update eagerly to get to see how Dumbledore, Snape and Malfoy respond to this and Harry/Olympe's consequent response.
BTW, do you have two beta's with the name John or did you just repeat the name twice in the AN? I am refering to 'With thanks, as always, to my hard working beta team - John, Cami, Susie, Rachael, and John.'

I really like it, but thought the match was a little short.. Anyway..
Will Albus think that harry made Draco hit the tree (by lunch him to it or something) or will this cause problems for the french school? And i really like to see harry making Malfoy vanish.. hehe..
How does Minerva know of the bond iet Albus doesn't? I didn't see when he told her.. Well must be going back to work, so, grat chap, and see ya.

leaves me wanting more - which is a sign of good writing.
Thanks for sharing, Tim.
Interesting little conversation with Minnie about Dumbledore - Harry asking about Dementia, and the fact that it seems a bit like that but not... Hmm, Hmm, Hmm.
I know, Albus is under Imperious!!! :-o
Okay, unlikely, I know.
best,

As always Tim another excellent chapte rin a very fine story. I especially loved seeing Malfoy get some comuppance. :) I truely hope you have somehting special planed for him.
And Dumbledore I wonder what you have in mind for him. Is the great wizard perhaps suffering from Senility or the onset of Alzhiemers?
Keep up the great work on the story. I look forward to seeing the next chapter.

F**k...
I think I just realised why Harry needed Olympe to 'break' the budget by six galleons. Holy S**T!
^^ I love you Tim. I truly do.

You're evil, you know - giving me one long-anticipated chapter, and then leaving me wanting more >.<
Evil, evil, evil.
I really loved it - the Harry/Snape/Malfoy/Dumbledore interaction has me in stitches most of the time.
And Gabrielle's "Oh, then I want sex" comment almost killed me.
I shall have to re-read this later - but since it's five minutes to class, I can't do it now *pout*
And I'm really looking forward to read more of Harry's reaction to Malfoy's action. *snicker* Thumbs up for having him run into a tree.
Go you.

Yet another awesome chapter, I look forward to how the Draco situation is resolved.

Great chapter! As always, I might add, but still... The way Gabrielle delivered the gifts, the way she's healing Harry - and the way she got to Malfoy. Absolutely cool. Then there's Harry's politics... the way he managed to get Hogwarts faculty to play Bauxbaton's - sneaky. I guess the sorting hat was quite on target, he would've done well in Slytherin. I'm a bit disturbed by Dumbledore, I wonder what's wrong with him, but I like the way you have McGonnagall question his actions and stick to proper behaviour.
The explanations about Harry's power level as opposed to everybody else's (including Voldemort) was intriguing. I like him being able to draw upon the magic in the world as opposed to just what's in himself.
You know, you could keep this story going for a long time. Harry being mated to Gabrielle is a force of anture (even more than Harry alone is).
I hope nothing nasty comes out of this last episode with Malfoy - and if it does, I do hope they use pensieves to show what happened.
Cheers!

Gawd I've been waiting for this chapter soooo long, but it was well worth the wait! The only problem is now I have to wait for chapter 9....
sigh... so much time, so few good stories to read. (But this is one of them) :D

What a great update (bet you've never heard that before :) I'm terrible at reviewing, but since you clearly put a lot of work into your stories the least I can do is take 5 minutes to let you know how much I appreciate it.
There were quite a few things in this chapter that I liked, in particular it was nice to see Harry give Snape a little bitch-slap at the teachers meeting. You go, Harry.
I'm fascinated by the way you're portraying Dumbledore; there doesn't seem to be any type of malice about him, it just seems like he's looking at the world around him and not *seeing* what's going on. (I wonder if the bit with the Pensieve has anything to do with his apparent senility... very subtlely done, if so).
I like how Gabrielle handled Malfoy, although I think Harry should do something about it (since Malfoy was, in fact, trying to hurt Harry by proxy).
Anyway, I hope everything is going well and I look forward to the next update.
-Sean
