Excellent Series of stories. I usually do not go for stories that carry a lot of romance (as so many are poorly written), but I really enjoyed all of the stories. I have to say, however, that my most favorite scenes are:
1) Describing how Draco would have to truthfully explain how babies are made
-and-
2) "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast"
Man, I love Red Dwarf!
If you want to see some good 'ol dwarf episodes, there is a free live stream at www.grif.tv They play every episode, in sequence, and then start from the beginning all over again!

I originally read this epilogue on Kokopelli's LJ and enjoyed seeing the writing process as you both collaborated and "drew" such a nice epilogue.

I loved the epilogue and loved the letters format as to me the letters conveyed the unsaid/unwritten personalities of the writers.

Congratulations to both of you for a well written series and I do look forward to more!

Lizzy

I was going to comment that you said that it was a girl and then a boy, but I ended up understanding by the end. It was a little unclear that you were talking about two children though. However, this story is a great work. I am exceedingly impressed. I'm just waiting for the next chapter of Hope, now THERE's something to look forward to.

This reminds me of your style in TMW, but I can still see a bit of KokoPelli in there when Samantha is talking, or writing, or whatever. I enjoyed it, and am glad that this series has a happier and fluffier ending.

You two should cooperate more. Simply one of the best fics I have ever read and I've read a lot of em... (from Ranma fics, VoltesV, multi x-overs and more).

I was sniffling when Ginny passed and had moist eyes when Sam cried with Harry. It's testament to a great fic when it can emotionally affect the reader. Thankfully I was smiling softly at the end.

Fluff and waff writtem in exemplary style.

Thanks guys. It was a great read and I'm sure I'll read it again soon.. maybe several times =)

I was one of the ones who thought that Ron's 'death threat' against Sammy was over-the-top and unbelievable in the earlier chapter, so I was interested to read Harry's letter dealing with that issue here. Like Harry I "guess I never thought about what Ron was going through" when Sam would 'drop him from across the room'; I didn't grok the severity of her doing that, how it would feel from Ron's perspective, until I read John's comments in your group. Rather frightening, actually, when you think about it that way - how a man could be utterly defenceless and manipulated on such a primal level like that. Almost like rape in a small way; I could see how a man could feel that he's 'betraying' his true love by reacting to a Veela, etcetera. I don't think we've seen the dark side of the Veela attraction quite like that? In canon and otherwise it's always been a bit of a joke, but Fleur and Gabrielle are 'good' Veela.

"You have appear to have broken Hermione" - classic line!

Thank you both for the epilogue!

well written in character with the series (the heart trilogy) and I had a silly smile on my face the whole time I was reading...just picture a 6ft 2" bulky bloke giggling like a school girl. it looked friggin hilarious.

Wow.

Just wow.

I shamelessly admit that I came very close to crying.

Kokopelli replied:

That's okay - _I_ cried when I wrote the Ginny scene - and had a client walk into my office when I was doing so.

I passed it off as allergies.

HAH!

Very nice. I like that Sammy got Harry after all. I liked Sammy better than Ginny.

Kokopelli, I really hope I did not offend you with my review. I did not mean for that. I guess I so enjoyed the dramatic writing of These Dreams that I was hoping for the same type of continuation. I really did enjoy the epilogue as a fluffy ending once I read it for that. I appologize for the offence.

Kokopelli replied:

These Dreams was 75% Kokopelli.

These Dreams Epilogue was 25% Kokopelli - maybe less. These Dreams was supposed to be a one-shot, but I had some loose ends to tie up, so Jeconais took that ball and ran with it.

nice ending for a great fic.

Thank you! I do so love a happy ending. You don't do anything in halves do you? I mean damn, I need to go brush my teeth. I'm going to have to skip dinner or I'm going to gain a few pounds from pure fluff! Good job by the way, a nice fluffy finisher like this was a great way to end the story.

I could wax poetic about the greatness of your work on this story for ages, but I'm not in the waxing mood, so you get a great big double thumbs up.

Prerna posted a comment on Friday 3rd February 2006 12:12pm

Wow, what a perfect way to top the a wonderful trilogy. Brillant job to you both, and I hope you two will collaborate in the future :)

Hey, there. Loved the back and forth humor going on behind the scenes that's suggested by the letters. However, there was one part I'm confused about.

- - - - -
"Now, having read your missive in detail, I’m wondering exactly why you didn’t do any studying beforehand. I thought we taught you to always research new situations?"
- - - - -

Where in the letter directly previous to this one did Samantha mention not knowing much about sexual techniques? Was it in an earlier letter? Or am I misinterpreting what Gabrielle is saying to Samantha? Because with the elder Veela mailing that instruction book... It seemed to me that I missed out on a conversation involving Samantha deploring her inexperience in the bedroom.

Philipe posted a comment on Friday 3rd February 2006 7:45am

I like this version with a little bit of the three that Kokopelli posted on his (or hers) livejournal.. The final one there was lacking the final part of the letter.. i tink this looks very good.. I like it, simple but interesting..
