That last scene was heartbreaking, if only because of how clear it is that Harry loves Kate. Throughout the previous chapters he done his soul-read mojo on everyone to some extent but with Kate he was ready to bring her in without it, he trusted her completely. Can't wait for the next chapter, update already!?

Ok, some dark stuff at the end, and I wasn't expecting that, but this is a fanfiction and she's an OC so I can't really expect to know everything she's gonna do. Sadly, I now have to actually wait for you to post the next chapter. It took me all night(well, 1 am- 7 am approximately) to finish the first 13 chapters, at which point I blacked out, as a side effect of not really sleeping for 48 hours lol. Anyways, so I woke up at 1:00 and finished reading the story. This is all PST btw. Yeah, I'll try to stop rambling now. I'm still loving the story, even though the scene with Kate at the end was a little sad. I've read a bunch of your other fics and I've come to really admire you as a write.Anyways, thanks for writing, I can't wait for the next update, and keep it up!

Looking forward to more of this. The complexity just keeps ratcheting up, though, and I know all too well how that can slow down the writing. Bringing in the Russians and the Chinese, plus whatever Jonathan's goddaughter is, and writing out the Polish lady of negotiable affections... and atop all of that, isn't there a self-named Dark Lord lurking around somewhere? ;)

You referred to Melissa as Melissa Cuthbert throughout this chappie, BTW; isn't it Mockridge? I thought Cuthbert Mockridge was her father.
