Yay!!

I couldn't have asked for a nicer Christmas gift. I've loved this story from the moment I read it the first time. I'm so glad you've updated it Jeconais :)

Happy Holidays to you and yours

While I actually read naked quidditch wozzname first, this is better. A wonderful christmas present. :)

*bows* Please give us more!

A most excellent chapter. Thanks for uploading it as is. Since you seemed to invite corrections, Draco is more likely genetically linked to Lucius than generically linked.

this is a really pleasant suprise, I had forgotten this story in all the others I have read in the last six months. I am glad to see you have not given up on writing for us, your readers, in the aftermath of your summer crash problem, and as such
I thank you. In order to really appreciate this update I went back to the first chapter and read it through from the beginning, and it was not a waste of time, it was indeed time well spent.

Hi Jeconais,

Thank you for your early Christmas present! I really loved it. As usual your writing is simply wonderful.

From your postings on your mailing list I came to realize that you don't really like writing H/G much anymore. But for many of us, H/G stories hit a special note that make the story seem a bit more alive and wonderful in some way that is very hard to identify.

Thank you for sharing your writing with us and for completing "This Means War"!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidyas to you and yours

Kevin

Thank you! I think this was the best present I got this christmas. Absolutely lovely. Never mind it being un-betaed, then I can enjoy it once more once it's been through the language-wringer.

Hope you have a marvvellous christmas as well. And have a glorious, crewtive new year!

cheers,

Obviously I, like a great many others, have been waiting eagerly for this latest installment -- it does not disappoint.

Not to be nitpicky, but when McGonagall is stating why she has the couch, she says she had a full house and won over Dumbledore's four jacks. Four-of-a-kind beats a Full House in standard five-card.

...
Minerva smirked. "This couch used to belong to Albus, but he was under the impression that his four jacks was going to top my full house. He sulked for a week over it."
...

I especially liked the wolf v. werewolf action, though personally I'm looking more forward to how you write in the hawk animagus. And the bits about the rare meat were an excellent add-in.

As always, I look forward to more.

It's Alive!!!

Anyway, Wonderful as usual. I'm going to have to go back and re-read the first 9 chapters before the final 2 parts come out just to refresh some of the plot points, but that's not exactly a punishment, now is it?

I am curious about little Jenny and her dancing bear, but if it is important I'm sure it will be covered in the final two installments.

The first part of Chapter Ten starts with Mmails, but ends with a blockbuster (and I don't mean a cliffy): Vernon gets decked...but it's *Dudley* (not Harry) that dropped him. *Poor Petunia*! Her nice orderly world has taken quite a few Left Turns...

Speaking of Left Turns, Harry turned a DE symp into a magical version of a suicide bomber *entirely by accident* (he didn't plan on it) and becomes a dual Animagus. Also, he gets *Narcissa Malfoy* as an additional spy (under the rather surprising cover of her being Moldie's *Mata Hari*, which is Harry's idea, not Moldie's). Basically, so much for the Malfoys. (Lucius is going from well-funded to non-funded rather quickly, Draco has been neutralized, and we now know about Narcissa). Bellatrix is decidedly impressed with the more-Slytherin Harry (especially with the DE bomb).

I take back all the evil thoughts I had about the very, very, long delay between updates for this story. Sometimes when you stand before a masterwork all you can say is Thank you lord for putting this person on the earth so that I might enjoy their talent.

In poker 4 Jacks do beat a Full House

Once again a master has graced us
In all seriousness - thank you from the bottom of my heart - I have encountered very few writers in the 42 years I have been reading who manage to write at anyhwere close to the level you do. You have chosen a disjunct format and made it work perfectly to carry your story along with minimal wasted words, the humour and emotions all ring true and appropriate for the ages and station of the characters - all in all, a master work.
warmest regards in gratitude for this Christmas gift.
