Tim...if you weren't married...Only my favorite fanfic author would use my favorite lifetime movie at such a perfectly timed moment!! I was almost waiting for Voldie to stand up and shout "It's only a flesh wound!" or maybe a line from Dobby "Help! Help! I'm being repressed!" You are without a doubt the Master of this very Twisted universe. Thanks for finishing even though I know you'd become rather dissatisfied with the playground you were dabbling in. It is a truly remarkable and intensely unique story! I'm in love! Can't wait to see what else you pull out of that Sirius-ly creative mind of yours!

I loved this :)
Sure, Voldemort's death is so hyphenated that it's really hard to live upto the massive expectations and the dragon flight to space was not in line with the overall plot (but I have to say it would make a most interesting story after this..) Despite of those, I've really enjoyed reading this and I have always expected those updates that it's almost sad to know there won't be no more coming.
This has been really, really fun. And the use of mmails was a stroke of genius :)

i might be nit-picking and do correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it correct grammar to use were instead of was in a statement contrary to fact? I was just thinking about a piece of Hermione's diaolog and I was thinking that if she is indead as smart as she is billed to be she would know that and use it properly. anyway specific line is when ginny and hermione are talking about the kiss after the invisibility cloak excursion about 2/3 of the way down
Great story so far!!!!!!!! definitely one of the best!

at long last, it has been finished...
it was, and is, a long story, a longer wait, but all of it, well worth it.
i'm not sure if i read it right, but from your comment about writing this taking up too much of your time and your life, i get the impression you're going to at least slow down on the writing, if not stop outright once your running stories (dawn/xander...) are done. who knows?
you've given some unusual couples a firm twist and made the great. if you decide to write another, then i'd request a longer than the one you have, h/hr story...
anyway, all things aside, congrats on finishing this one, and in the way you did it. good luck with the rest of your writing, and here's to hoping you'll keep writing a long time yet.
salutations.

I have been reading it since it first came out, and would like to congratulate you. Your writing style has evolved and improved so much since the start, and the story has lived up to my hopes of how it would end, all that time ago.
Well done :)

I have followed this story since It was first posted on fanfiction.net all those years ago...
It was one of the 1st Fanfictions I read on fanfiction.net, written by a terrific author.
This story is everything - and more - that I expect from a fanfiction, It has everything, Humour, Romance, Action/Adventure, and Voldermorts Backside been kicked!
I am sad that this fiction has been finished and that there will not be a sequel, but I am happy knowing that I followed my favourite fic to the end, to its completion.
Jeconais: I salute you, You are the best Fanfiction Author I've ever seen, your style and skill is impeccable; you know how to write a Proper fanfiction...
It has been some years since I started reading this, and yet I can never fault it, there is no need to be embarrased by the earlier parts, for they were just as good, what you should be Jeconais is sad that this fiction is finished.
This Meets War, is a classic, it is the best Harry and Ginny Story out there that I have discovered. Even Intromits Harry Potters and Fates Debt comes second to this, all I can say is Thank You Tim. Thank you for all your hard work, I am sure that all the readers will agree when I say that you are the epitome of The H/G Ship of Harry Potter Fanfiction.

What a great finale to a great fic! You brought it all together so well without losing the details that make the story such great fun. I only have one criticism: why is Krum using German articles like "der" and "ein" when he's Bulgarian? Granted, I don't know much about Bulgarian other than that it's a Slavic language, not a Germanic one. A minor point, but I'm a linguist... :) Anyway, thanks for sharing the fic with us, it's brought me a lot of joy (and will bring even more on re-reading)!

Thank you!
I've had a marvelous time with this tale. The plot threads and characterizations were marvelous, and the combat scenes were intelligent and exciting. "This Means War" is one of my favorites.
Great story. Thanks again.

Well? What can I say. This is the story that drew me to Jeconais' writing and, effectively, to FFA.net. It has been a long journey from Fanfiction.NET to Tim's Yahoo!Group and, ultimately, here. It has been worth it, though.
I've enjoyed it all the way through. The balance of humour, action, romance and suspense was always right. It isn't exactly an easy read (it is huge, you know!) but it is one worth the effort.
The characterisations are well done, the plot is excellent (if slightly clichéd in places) and everything is done just right. There are some bits that feel a bit tacked on at the last minute (most notably the dragons turning out to be Pernese). However, it is all handled well enough and the evolution of the story from teen romance to final battle makes these changes easy to bear.
Well done, Tim. I'll give anything you write a read.
BenRG's Rating: 9/10 - Couldn't be much better.
