> "What I did was channel my magic to the same frequency as the wards, then set up a rotating counter frequency to divert the magic around the edges I wanted. From there, it was simply a case of keeping everything together and allowing Beauxbatons to drop down."
What's really scary is that almost made sense to me.

> Harry nodded at them and patted his broom. It flew off to one side and parked itself neatly in the racks with the others.
*laugh* Show off.

Even by elf standards, Matti sounds weird. 'Course, she could just be odd by elf standards.

Liked how the Black Slush fund got changed from DE funds to a real charity.

Ah, and the Obliterate spell makes a return! Also enjoyed Percy's "explanation".

Pansy, I can't decide if you're an idiot or simply frightening. Come to think of it, both, probably.

> The Giant Squid appeared, seemed to nod at Harry, and then moved out of the way.
There has to be a story there.

> thanks to Olympe literally picking him up and holding in place.
And Olympe gets a little personal satisfaction along the way.

> "Whoops," Neville said with a small grin.
Nice touch to have Neville the one to get him. Exorcising personal demons for Nev if nothing else. Now why does this remind me of one of the M Vignettes?

> "It was good medicine at first, but then the dementia flared up again and Albus became addicted to higher and higher doses. Anything Snape wanted, he got."
*nod* And that wraps those two threads up.

> "Holy shit," Hermione blurted,
> "Holy shit," Ron gasped.
Nice symmetry :)

> "Vik calls her the 'pretty Chaser’."
Nice side-plot / romance.

And and an excellent wrap-up chapter to an excellent fic. As always, I bow to a master of the written word.

Well done as always, I am a 56 year old man and
am addicted to HP Fanfiction, but saddly I am a H/G shipper. You are one of the few authors that I read, that dosen't promote the H/G relationship. Well done.

I really enjoyed that, and I must say Dumbledore's misuse of Gabby, while in character for this fic, was v. much a surprise. I esp. liked how you got rid of Malfoy. and, as an aside, your use of Viktor and Hermione in this chapter were v. well done

I am so impressed by the conclusion to this story. I am looking forward to the Epilog but you have finished this off so well I am very happy in my mind about this story as a whole. I have always been a little apprehensive about the end of a story I really like. There have been some stories that I just can't feel good about them ending. They leave me wanting more. I don't feel that way about this story. As much as I have enjoyed reading and looking forward to the "next Chapter" I am really satisfied with this ending. Thank you so much for writing this story. Your writing style is one that I especially enjoy and I look forward to anything you wish to put together in the future. A real fan. Thanks again. pms

Oh, and which side story was it with Merlin?

I feel so sorry for Hermione, missing the explanation - i'd cry...

. . . and they all lived happily ever after until the end of their days . . .

Had me worried there, killing curses all around, a tragic end, Harry going nuclear, the Planet Earth reduced to a cinder . . .

Of course, with the end of this story we are now . . .

(No! Don't say it! You can't make me say it!)

Hopeless

The stuff at the beginning with the suspension of the Head Boy was so fun. Harry disconcerting Jean is also always fun. Dumbledore was seriously evil but it did make good sense. Laughed out loud at the holy shit exchanges. Poor Hermione. Great stuff. More please.

Wonderful chapter. It is great to see Malfoy get whats coming to him. Same with Snape (lets hope for many years of Dementor based torture for Snape after he is publically revilled, his potions mastery stripped away for abuse and supplying to an addict.
I am a little disapointed in Dumbledore having Dementia, it seems.... too mundane for what was once such a great man. Ah well, I suppose it's better than my first guess of Pensive Abuse:)

great fic!I enjoyed this one the most out of your stories!!! congratulation!

but I hate Hermione is this story, she's really annoying! I was hoping Harry would say no to her. She's too greedy when it comes to books and knowledge.

A masterful ending to an excellent story [/gush] B-), but everyone else has already said that. Doesn't stop it being true, though. So nice to see the ferret deservedly obliterated (and what a great way to refer to that "famous" typo; one could wish that other authors would do the same, but they generally don't have your talent) and Snivellus and senile!Dumbledore get theirs. I wasn't surprised to find that DD was behind Gabby's sudden "decision" to Mate with Harry, but his reasons for doing it and why Snape had such power at the school were unexpected (hey, if you expect something to be unexpected, what does that make it? ;-) ).

For all the drama of the attack at the match, I found the most powerful part of it (and the most repulsive bit) to be Pansy's blithe assertion that the DEs missed the "good old days" and that the raid would be a simple way of bringing them back. "Oh, yes, life is so dull these days... I know! Let's go and kill a few dozen people and things will be back the way they used to be." Now that is true evil. I do hope the Epilogue will see them properly dealt with, especially that stupid little twerp John -- definitely Ferret Mark II, that one.

One minor continuity error that I spotted: in chapter 9, you have Katie say that three years is the standard contract length, and the implication is that Harry's one-year rolling contract is unusual; in this chapter, she talks about only having single-year contracts. Something doesn't match up.

Despite that, this was great and I look forward to the epilogue so that the story will be truly finished and can be appreciated in its entirety. Bravo, Tim.
