I think this is the third or fourth time I've read this story over the years now, and I think I find something new to like about it each time. One of the things that struck me the most on this read through is how much of a storybook fairytale romance this really is. And on top of that, it's set in a fairly modern setting. In my opinion that's a distinctly impressive accomplishment.
Now I'll admit that I read a lot more fan-fiction than original fiction these days, but it's still been a very long time since I've read a good old fashioned fairytale. And it's a lot of fun every time I do.
Certainly, large swathes of it could be called 'unrealistic' or 'contrived' or even 'clichéd', but haters' gonna hate. Because you could also (and in my ne'er to be humbled opinion much more accurately) call it 'mystical' and 'fantastic' and 'heartwarming' and 'romantic' and 'magical'.
There are so many wonderful aspects of this story that you can easily focus on. The writing is of an extremely high technical level. The humor is pretty spontaneous feeling and well executed, outrageous yet subtle. The characters interact well and often seem to jump off the page larger than life. But to me, the elements that stuck out the most on this read through were the fantasy and fairytale aspects. Harry's casual, almost blase and yet distinctly natural use of magic, for everything from Obliterating the Dragon, to Rescuing the Princess all the way to picking up breakfast. The amazing way you described not only the focus of the story with Harry and Gabrielle's relationship, but the way you managed to make everyone else, who would normally be considered well adjusted madly in love people that worked hard to get to where they were with their spouses not only exemplary, but also somehow everyday, dull and pedestrian without losing any of the special nature of how they got on with each other.
A magical story that I'm sure, in a year or two, I'll sit down to again and find something else new and incredible to enjoy about. Great stuff, bravissimo.

I am ridiculously sad that this story is finished. One of the best pieces of fiction i have ever read, including novels. JK Rowling has nothing on you. Looking forward to reading the rest of your collection.

Jeez Jeconias, talk about taking every other HP fanfic romance out there and throwing them in the trash. Nobel for this one.

This story is really emotive. I truly enjoyed it.
Between this ff and HEA I think you're one of the best writing HP/GD.
I left a little bit longer review in HEA and I'm lazy so this is all.
Greetings

I wish you hadn't taken out the epilogue - I liked it.

I didn't like the whole epilogue. but I truly like the idea that Gabby got Harry to Merlin's resting place where all three are now RIP.

hello,
this was another really amazing story. I like the way it is written and the idea between the story. It was great to see someone put french in the story without the hug mistakes (enven if I make a lot in english myself) Ther is just one that I remember it is "mon capitain" you miss the "i"
I hope you will write others fic and that I can read them.
thank you one more time and see you next story.

You know, I take that back, I guess I just haven't been keeping up. Maybe that's what happens when there are one and a half years between updates? =P

I'm sure I've already commented on this, but I just reread it and all I can say is: my god you are an amazing writer. T'is a shame we don't see too much from you nowadays, but I guess it's not all that surprising - you've written more than most authors I know of, and certainly more good fan fiction than any I've read.

A pleasure to read. An addicting tale of lonelyness, deception, and above all, unyielding love. Kept me reading for hours without fail. 10/10
In other words: AWE-SOME STORY!!!

I could almost swear you've made this longer since I first read this when you wrote it all :) Took me four days. Then again, I do have a job.
This was brilliant, as usual. Couldn't get enough, as usual. And now I have to go and read all your other stories as well *sighs*, as usual.
;) Don't ever get bored with writing please.

I just worked my way through this epic fanfic, and epic it is. And I have to say I am absolutely blown away by it. This story is without a doubt the best Harry&Gabby ff I have ever read, and I do try to read as many as possible. You write create realistic characters, storyline and scenery. It is truly magnificent and I loved every single line of it. Whilst I have to say that the simple volume of the story made it unable for me to sleep for 2 tays, as I could not stop and read through the whole ff in one go I think it would be an absolute shame to cut any single line out of it. So, well done, I really enjoyed this story. Amy

its a shame really that you deleted the epilogue the first time i read this fic i felt that it really tied in nicely with the fic as its ending. but you are the writer here not me so if you felt that it didnt live up to your expectations then that is that
