If you really don't know about "Brass Monkeys" the full expression is "Cold enough to freeze the balls off of a Brass Monkey", which is why it goes with the Witch's Tit remark, which in full is "Cold as a WItches tIt, in a brass bra, in the middle of February."

If you did not already know these, then I have been able to contribut to your education/corruption.

Fine handling of the Snape execution. Though, there must be easier/better ways to dispose of a body than asking scores of English-speaking witnesses to eat the body! (Especially with magic)

Entertaining chapter and thanks for 2 great updates in quick succession.

I only got this far "Fleur and Harry sitting in a tree," Gabrielle chanted happily, "F — U — C — …"

"Gabrielle Anne Delacour!"

And I just about spit my food all over my monitors. That! will stick with me a very long time. Back to read the rest of the story, but figured I might as well share the moment.

Chocolate lava cake IS better than sex, or so I'm told by chocolate lovers. Even those that just like chocolate declare it a 'must have' experience. It really is a distillation of everything 'chocolate'. Yay, more Kate. The drunk students scene and overly long gag of waving at Dumbledore was hilarious.

I absolutely loved this chapter, excellent portrayal of a bunch of happy drunks, as well as getting the better of Bumblebore and Snivellus.

"Hey it's Dumbledore! Everyone wave to him!"

Salutations, felicitations and multiple exclamations!

As you posted these two chappies so close, i can't really tell where the break was

The fact that you're great and one of Fanfictions giants cannot possibly have escaped you by now and the sounds i made when my notifier went off this morning woke both my family and the neighbors.

Seriously.

Anyway, the last Snape scene was incredible. How you managed to combine such a low-key descriptive way of writing it with the intensity of the situation eludes me. I'm impressed. I've rarely laughed like i did at that party and you have by now managed to turn Fleur completely around without making it look contrived.

The competition is just wonderful and i'm looking forward to both Harrys and Melissas next rounds..=)

Update when you're ready. This might be the best written piece of fiction i've ever read. I'll hate the waiting, but it's worth waiting for.

A bit dark with Harry killing Snake in such a planned way. I always wondered why no one did that to Umbridge? Fun to see the kickboxing and the wonderful support that Harry has. Thanks for sharing!

It was so wonderful to see that you had posted two new chapters, this is one of my favorite stories on the web right now, right up there with Bobmin's On the Wings of Dragons story. Please continue with this your Konoha's Legion story and you Harry Potter / Adams Family crossover. All three of these stories are to good to be left unfinished.

Great chapter and wonderful to see the results of the party. I was laughing for a long while! Nice of Kate and Rhiannon to pay the debt. Thanks for sharing!

Substitutiary Locomotion: Wow, a Bedknobs and Broomsticks ref. Damn, I feel old. What's next, a shopping trip to Portobello Road? Using a bunch of knights in shining armor to beat up on Death Eaters? Anyway, great work. This is just a wild ride, and the story's there to take us along.

For some reason, I just couldn't access FFA.net today. I finally spat the dummy and turned off the firewall for 5 mins and what do you know...I have two wonderful chapters ready to read.

They were so totally worth the wait. Oh and without even seeing your arguments about why you believe Hogwarts was the worst boarding school, I agree with with you.

Thanks for perservering with the dodgy connection and with writing, I appreciate it.

Thanks so much for the update--and two in one day.

Thank you.

Why did Snape even come up to Harry? I thought Harry had an agreement from Bumbles that Snape would keep his distance? Was the "suicide by Potter" from Snape?

You wrote: ""Tell me," Lisa said to Hermione, "where they mid step when they left?""

It should be "...were they..."

nit:

It is "lose" and not "loose." Don't know where the confusion comes from.

Great chapter, I've been hoping Gabrielle would give Fleur a talking to at some point.

Same as my last review a top notch effort that justifies my membership to this site all on its own

Awesome chapter! Thanks!

I need to email you soon.......anyway.......

Finally, we're at a point where things are fresh to me, so yay! Loved Harry's words at the party after, and once again LOLed through the waving to Dumbledore and Hermione's hippy parents. (I am still embarrased about the whole 'fic search' thing on the old forum that was THIS SCENE no matter how long ago that was.)

Brass monkey - always heard from my grandfather that it was the nickname for the brass contraption that held cannonballs on a ship. When it got really cold, the brass contracted and the cannonballs fell off.....cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. No idea how true, but that's the story from my WWII US Naval grandfather. LOL

Can't wait to read the next one, but have to work in 5 hours so, night!

I love this story and your works to keep an account here for it. Such fun are your stories but I pout at how long I have to wait for an update lol but I enjoy what I do get anyway

Entertaining chapter, except Snape's still alive. Thank you for the update.
