"As a group, they all waved at Dumbledore." Bwahahaha! Third time is a charm! "He conjured the most deadly weapon he could think off, and threw it. He turned to watch, as the plate of strawberry ice cream sailed forward and landed on Dumbledore’s head." Bwahahahahahaha! Thanks for this one! (and I do wonder how long you took to choose what said deadly weapon would be ;-p) OK... I think I'll stop quoting everything I think funny, because the review will get bigger than the chapter! (and given the size of your chapter, it is not easy to achieve!) Though I find interesting you chose to have Hermione's mother as the sport fan! Thanks for a very funny chapter! I wonder how Gabrielle will comment next time she will see Harry, given the end of this chapter ;-)

The saying cold enough to freeze the balls off of a brass monkey comes from the British Navy in the 1800's. A brass monkey is a frame on the deck of a ship that they store the Iron cannon balls on stacked in a pyrmad. When it got to cold the brass would contract and the cannon balls would fall off.

Wow! I'm really surprised that Harry dealt with Snape so directly. At least Snape did go out with some dignity. That was a big surprise actually. Very well done overall. I really liked the kick boxing angle. That is very well done. NoI i look forward to the next chapter and how Harry does in the finals. It was surprising that Dumbledore was there and was actually supportive. This is a great story. pms

Fudge is such an idiot. Of course he isn't going to get the best of Harry and his very smart, informed friends. I'm glad they also dealt with Umbridge. That was great. That and Harry got a lot of money off the death eaters in his civil suit as well as getting them trials that will deffinitely keep them locked up for a long time. That and there is an arrest warrant out on Lucius. Great all around. I loved the scene the morning after the party. That was fantastic.
Snape getting his just desserts was great. Harry blackmailing Dumbledore was great. SiriuIs getting a fair trial finally will be great. That and Sirius is finally his legal gaurdian. That has been a long time coming. Melissa getting her own Law Firm is fantastic. She has deffinitely earned it. I'm looking forward to the final task of the tournament. With all the champions working together it will be great. Thanks for writing. I look forward to more of this story. pms

Fucking awesome chapter Jeconais!!!! I haven;t read any HP ff except for your stuff for years because I love how OC he is with you!!!!!! This is ranking with one of your best ones, but glad to see that your still leaving the love interest up for debate. Don;t really know what's going on with Gabrielle, she isn't panting all over him like a rash, and hes the protective big brother (at the moment). I have an idea that he won't go for Fluer based wholly and solely on the fact that she's a bitch, but that seems to have changed and your entire basis on this story is that Harry doesn't judge a book by its cover. But he does judge on first impressions, that I have noticed. Keep up the amazing work and please tell me that you've written something that's been published, because if you haven;t and I haven't mentioned this before (a horrible oversight I know), tell me your Alias god damn it, because it would be the first thing I do this weekend, is to find the book youve written and buy it!!!!
Completely wishing I had as much writing talent as you do in your pinky finger.....

"Brass monkeys" is short for "cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey," a phrase of disputed origin that some say refers to the differential contraction of different metals at extreme low temperature and iron cannonballs stacked on brass plates called monkeys. Which is distinctly not true, but it makes for a good story.
As for the other one, I have no idea. If you're curious, you might check the Phrase Finder website.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You are my favorite fanfic author and I have been hoping you would continue to update (and I wouldn't mind an update for Perfect Slytherins as well ;) )

Glad to see this story pop up again. I almost threw up because I was laughing so hard in the drunking food fight part. Now looking forward to anoter.

Thank you so much for, not one, but TWO new chapters. ~Shivers~
I love the way this story is evolving. I read, and re-read, your words often.
I did raise the proverbial eyebrow at Snape's change of behaviour. You did explain this of course, and I did like the very direct way of his demise. But, I must be a staunch supporter of a 'Git Snape’ scenario, as I didn’t think that someone who was absolutely drowning in detestation would give up like a little bitch. Sorry, that was a little rough of me, but it didn’t subtract one iota from my enjoyment of a WONDERFUL epic (in training!).
Sorry to hear of your performance issues, (the internet obviously!).
Does 'Pfizer Inc.’ do broadband?
Keep UP the good work!
Whoops, there I go again.

Love this story. It is nice to see a fresh take on the tournament. Your writing style in all of the stories keeps me glued to the words and I can easily picture the entire story as I read along. Keep up the great work and I'll continue to read and reread all your stories and the other wonderful ones on the site.

Aside from the whole "killed Snape" thing, mostly a chapter of fun. Character development and showing off Harry's fighting abilities to prove that he does have them in non-magical as well as magical.
Fun chapter, thanks.

THAT was an awesome drunk scene with a gratuitous food fight thrown in for good measure. Falling out of my chair laughing wouldn't have gone over well with my boss, unfortunately.
Yeah, I recognized the Churchill quote.
"Freezing the balls off of a brass monkey." Just in case you actually care: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brass_monkey_(colloquial_expression )
I'm sure Harry's focusing "love" on Gabrielle and a few others is going to be important and/or backfire sooner or later.
Off to read the next chapter.

It's good to have you back!
Great chapter, though I would have thought the court case may have been more descriptive in some areas.
Really at a loss of words with everything that happened here. It's just nice to read a good story now and then
Thank you for your effort in that respect.
On to the next chapter.

Regarding Snape, I thought it was fairly in character for Harry, given both the way you've developed him so far in this story, and also his reaction afterwards. It certainly would have been OOC for canon-Harry, but you've developed him beyond that.
Also, more bonus points for you. I'm still reguarly reading a ton of Harry Potter fan fiction, and have been reading for a long time . . . actually I just noticed my FFN account is eleven years old as of yesterday . . . and this seems to me to be the first time I've ever seen Harry take part in a non magical spectator sport, at least in a way that makes any sense as part of a fuller story.
And it's hardly the first thing in this story that I've not seen before. And combine the new ideas with quality writing . . . this continues to be a great read.
As always, thank you for writing and sharing your writing with us.

Wow! A double-team event, putting Snape down for a permanent dirt nap, and a martial arts competition, all in one chapter! That is going to be hard to top.
