I absolutely loved how you made things go quickly and horribly wrong for Voldielocks at the cemetery. It was rather believable, and certainly enjoyable.

Why the hell wasn't Hermione part of the vigil around sleeping Harry? Even the French part veela are there, but no Hermione? One of Harry's two bestest and truest friends? That was sort of absurd.

All in all, I like it. I look forward to the rest of the story, and I sincerely hope that your posting of this story means your real life situation is improved. Cheers.

And as for looking after Harry - just you wait and see what Hermione has been doing with her life. More than anyone (apart from Gabrielle), Harry owes Hermione *everything*

Wow, I've got to say, this was a heck of a start here, with a fun-loving Harry, who got to actually speak to his parents shades in the cemetary, as well as what appears to be a non-manipulative Albus, and a cast that looks to be having a lot of fun. Dang that was tight. Nary a wasted word and you covered a LOT of territory. What an awesome introductory chapter, and it ended on a great hook for chapter two.

You have definitely brought your "A game" to the table with this one. My hat's off to you.

And on a final note: Thank you for using the calming drought to avoid excessive angsting. Not only did it improve the chapter and save time, it's also perfectly in character for them to use something like that. Bravo!

Harry is going to have a tiny bit of angsting - when the potion wears out - but he's soon back in to the swing of things.

This is a fairytale, and there is no serious angst in my fairytale /paraphrases Gabbi

*chuckle* Definitely an interesting twist on events. I like the way it's starting out and the believability of what happened to Harry. Methinks Dumbles was rather surprised at how Harry defeated Tom.

I'm guessing that Crouch, Jr. wasn't dead 'til after he transformed back? Perhaps the magic drain from the dark mark, with Voldemort's death, drained the magic from him and changed him back early?

It's a fun start and I look forward to seeing more of it. Though, knowing Harry's luck, I suspect "ever after" won't be as easy or happy as one might wish.
