Well, that was very good. Since I have been properly upbraided for not reviewing every time I read a chapter, I will leave this short review. I will return to read this again and again. So for the next ten reads, I am leaving a note now.
Thanks Tim. I do enjoy it so much.

That just kicked ass, I see a bit of fore shadowing with Herm and Ron looking for a way to break the link, I have a feeling they are not going to advise Harry of this...... Dual was great, the Matches where excelent! Worth the wait by a long shot.
untill the next sun set

Another great chapter. I'm loving your take on Krum especially: he's so much more fun than the two-dimensional Teutonic thug stereotype that many authors end up casting him into. "Vhy are ve teaching Veela chick to duel? Van spell from her like dhat, ve all go down to pub ant celebrate." Ha.
(I was surprised at first that Gabrielle didn't seem bothered by being called "Veela chick". But I imagine she's more focused on Harry, and anyway, it might even be accurate, since Veela seem to have avian heritage.)
It'll certainly be interesting to see whether Susan's suspicions of Snape being responsible for Dumbledore's condition hold any truth or not. From what we've seen in earlier chapters (especially chapter 8), it looks to me as though it's Dumbledore's own doing; Snape may have encouraged it, but I find myself hoping that's the most he did. (Not because I like Snape at all, though: characters brought down by their own actions are just more interesting than those who are simple puppets.)
The idea of Sybil Trelawney as the competent one of the antagonists is kind of disturbing (not least in what it says about the others...), but should make for good reading. I don't think I've seen it done anywhere else, that's for sure.
Your betas are right. "Another think coming" is, as indeed you've used it in this chapter, part of a larger construction: "if you think <whatever>, then you've got another think coming". It is of course your right as the author to write it however you like, but I'm kind of curious about the logic involved in your Author's Note, where you basically agree that all your betas are right, but that you're writing it the wrong way anyway. Is that just because it's the way you're more familiar with?

That was well worth the wait! I'm a big fan of huge chapters with loads of action. This story is progressing even further than I thought it would. I am really looking forward to the next chapter. Any idea of how many more there will be?

Normally I don't review any stories unless it is to give constrictive criticism but I absolutely love this story. When I first started reading, I was a little skepticle about the ship because at the time, I was a firm Harry/Ginny shipper. This story changed that. I can't wait for the next chapter to come up and keep up the excellant work!

I just want to tell you that this is one of the best written chapters that I have ever read. This is easily the best chapter so far and it far outshines any other works out there. I can honestly say that I am addicted to this story and wont be happy until its finished (had to say that, cant help it). I hope that your RL runs smoothly and your muse hits the caffeine heavily.

The update was certainly worth the wait :)
I loved so much abou this chapter, its hard to pinpoint one part that I liked more than the rest. The quidditch match (the teachers) was great, I love the way Harry thinks of everything. The duel was a lot of fun to read, but am a bit worried with Mafloy now being on the loose - the ferrett is up to something. Trewlany is a weird one - I hope she and Rita Skeeter cop it in some way.
As usual I loved the romance (I do love my fluff). I love the way Harry treats Gabby, its great that their relationship is strong and not just because of the bond. Its very exciting he is going to propose - I wonder if she will sense something because of the bond?
Dumbledore is a worry, I wonder what is wrong with him, maybe a Muggle disease of some type that is impeding his judgement?
I hate Snape, I really do, I hope you have something nasty planned for him.
Great update, Tim :)

Outstanding, Harry got to bitch slap Malfoy all over the place, and reveal him as scum once and for all. It's a pity he couldn't get Snape the same way. Thank you for an excellent read.

A most awesome chapter. well worth the wait. I do have a question tho . . . during the
Hogwarts/Durmstrang quidditch match . . .
"Draco Malfoy is turning a rather unflattering fade of red as he yells at his team."
should that say shade instead of fade or is it an English term that I am not familiar with since I'm accross the pond?

Some of your best writing. Simply superb. The way the last chapter ended didn't read well to me, but this one was excellent.
Looking forward to the next part. And definately looking forward to the final treatment of Draco, and eventually Snape.

Another most awesome chapter in one of best Harry/ Gabrielle series I've come across. I enjoyed it most thorougly, and now am left with the unrelenting desire for more... ah, such is the price of reading works that are both mature and creative.
Thank you very much for continuing to write,
-Alan.

Just what I needed on a day stuck at home with 2 sick children. Wonderful chapter, liked how Harry finally realized that it is a two way bond, and therefore an equal relationship of get and take. As for the cliche costume ball, when it is done well nobody notices the cliche.
