Brilliant chapter! Loved the duel and the teacher's Quidditch match!
Just something minor I noticed: "What bought this on?" Aimée asked - should be "brought".
*sighs* Can't wait to see Trelawny getting what's due her!!! Stupid hag!

We have to wait a while, but then we get a giant chapter. Sooooo good. It was a rather Quidditch-heavy chapter which isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but it was well-written.
"Good idea," Gabrielle said with a nod. "What do you do with Bill?"
-- absolutely hilarious
I almost feel sorry for Trelawney. Almost.
Maybe someone's mentioned this already, but as far as the "you've got another think/g coming" debate, in a sense, both you and your betas were right. A quick Google search results in the general consensus that original quote was something like, "If that’s what you think, you’ve got another think coming." On the other hand, a goodly amount of people's exposure to the phrase comes from Judas Priest's "You've Got Another Thing Coming" on their 1982 album Screaming for Vengeance. I'm a "thing" person myself and I'm glad you stuck to your guns on that one. :)

I just love Draco-bashing! There's just something satisfying in seeing Draco and Snape totally humiliated in front of a crowd. Great chapter.
I hope Harry and Gabby decide to make their Bond public knowledge before Trelawney sends off those photos. I don't get why she hates Harry so much though.

Gawd I have been waiting for this chapter forever. Now... where's the next one hmmmm? :)
Excellent chapter.
Smack your betas. "Got another think coming"? That doesn't even make any sense. Just because they saw some other author abuse the language is no reason to propagate the mistake. It's THING, not think.

Wah! Why'd you have to ruin the rush with that final bit? I was so happy... *tears*
Still, fantastic chapter! Worth the wait! Not that you should take that as encouragement to take months on the next one, but still... Absolutely brilliant. Wonder if Gabby's going to find out the truth about the Cruciatus...?

This is quite possibly my favorite HP work in progress. I'm very happy to see it continued. Though I didnt reread the story before reading this chapter, so im not sure if it was jsut that, but I did get a feeling that the relationship between Harry and Gabrielle was pretty rushed, like he just jumped into it from wherever he was to accepting it. Again, this could just be because i havent read the proceeding chapters in a while, but it definately felt rushed to me.

That easily had to be the most amazing, fun, and *utterly ridiculous* mockery of a duel since "Draw!" (For those of you unfamiliar with the title, it was a rare comedic "spaghetti Western" that was a spiritual ancestor of "Blazing Saddles".) A Protean Charm in a duel? (Sneaky, underhanded, but perfectly legal.) However, what's utterly frightening is that it's no less than, of all people, *Sybil Trelawney* (not Dumbledore) who is the Master Manipulatrix of Hogwarts. (Yes, the not-as-batty-as-thought Professor of Divination is *also* a Slytherin alumnus, like both Malfoys and the Potions Master.) I do think that Sybil will have to learn the way that others have found out (much to their regret) that pissing off Harry is definitely Something That Should Not Be Done.

This was an absolutely fantastic chapter. It was well worth the wait.
My favorite parts were the duel. Using Riddikulus and Fidelius? I have never even heard of that, extremely original and funny. The sign above Malfoys head was the perfect compliment. Also, driving him to be so angry as to cast the Cruciatus Curse, well perhaps done before, I've never read where he's done it in front of so many witnesses and where such decisive action against him has taken place.
At the end of the previous chapter we were all wondering what was going to happen to Draco, now at the end of this one, I wonder what Trelawney and Rita are up to. Also I wonder what Draco is going to do now that he is on the run from the law. I just cant see him staying away from the action, so that could something to look forward to.
Thank you for the great chapter and keep up the great work.

OMG! Absolutely brilliant! Well worth the wait and I love the Fidelius sneak - a really cunning way to hide. Sincere thanks for lighting up my day/week and distracting me from the horror that is university exams!

Love the chapter! It was a long wait, but definitely worth it. Things I enjoyed:
- How Harry and Gabrielle slowly learn to deal with the bond, and get comfortable with it - a lot of this was in that chapter.
- Lee Jordan. you've got to love his mixture of cheekiness an courage.
The least cunning among the "Baddies" has been exposed. Nevertheless, I wonder where this is going to lead. Snape feeding Dumbledore a suggestiveness potion to further his own plans?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.

I have to admit this is one of my favorites. The attention to detail is something I've come to appreciate and expect from other writers. But that was mean to do that Remus and Tonks. I do have another question Where's Ginny? Is she going to come into the story later and cause problems? The only thing that threw me was spelling Crabbe with a K. The fluff factor was actually balanced out with the action scences so no need to go to the denist. Just a passing observation-Gabby should have turned Malfoy into a ferret or better yet a weasel.Again let me compliment you and all your betas on a great job!

Dear Tim, You are really the master. This is such a great chapter. I loved the Quiditch, the romance and the planning and execution of the story you are drawing out. Of course Snape and Malfoy have to be stupid bullies and idiots.
There is no way they could possibly be good guys
in any way, shape or form. I have a suspicion that Snape is using a potion or some kind of curse to control Dumbledore. Is he contaminating Dumbledore's lemon drops or something? During the Hogwarts/Beaubatons Faculty Quidtch game Dumbledore was acting more like the Dumbledore that we have learned to know and love. He was twinkling at the other players about a game well played. Earlier in this story you made reference to Dumbeldore thinking "Maybe later I will get to talk to Harry! That would be nice!" Makes me wonder what is wrong with Dumbledore that he could think such good things of Harry and then allow the bad things to happen in the meantime!
Of course Malfoy had to finally blow it and curse Gabrielle. Thank goodness Harry was able to protect her. Of course being Harry, he had to take the pain onto himself! We wouldn't expect anything less!
I loved the part where Victor and Harry worked together. Then of course the Dumstrang students helping Beaubatons was the height of sportsmanship! It was great. Lee Jordan is such a great touch as the commentator for the matches. You have told such a great story and at the very core is a great love story. I really appreciate the way Harry finally came to the realization that Gabrielle really loved him
and would never leave him! What a gift to stop Harry from killing Draco and thus preventing something bad from happening to Harry over the incident.
Thank you so much for writing. Of course like all of your fans we want the conclusion yesterday but great writing doesn't happen overnight. Please take all the time you need so that the end of the story is worthy of the rest of the story. Thanks also to all your betas. I really appreciate the "Mother's Day" gift you and your betas have given to all of us. I know they give you more ideas and help fine tune details. We, your fans, appreciate all your efforts. Thank you so much for such great entertainment. pms

After reading the reviews, I kind of wonder about the use of "another think coming." IMHO, it doesn't make sense, even in the grammatical point of view. Whereas "you have another thing coming..." hints about "...on your head/in the fan/etc." (ellipsis, much?) (and let's just not start on "another's incoming"... ;))
IMHO again, that's a sentence used to say that the other shoe is going to drop. Or some similar meaning. Not something to make people think. Otherwise, it would be written "another /thought/ coming" which is weird. Kind of.
ANYWAY, I don't think it's the place for a grammar discussion, so I'll congratulate you - again - on a masterfully written chapter and story. I can't wait for... say... the other shoe to drop ;) on Telawney :D
