I think this is a wonderful story and would love to see more. I have to assume that Kate is under some threat as her behaviour change was so abrupt and let's face it, if she was really only it for the money, it is obvious which horse to ride. I can see needing it to end it though, because it would be impossible to move any of the other relationships forward.

I remember saying it once before, but in rereading this, I am thinking that the best revenge against Kate, who was doing a necessary thing, but chose the most vicious method possible to achieve it, is the fact that she will someday look at what is happening in the world, and realize that her efforts to distance herself from Harry ensured that she will NEVER be invovled in any of it. The comment against Gabrielle was the clincher. She will realize that she could have had money, power, and most important, REAL friends, and that is all gone. FOREVER.

There are lines you do not cross, and that was one, and she knew it.

Just realizing now, as I type - she's managed to lose a HUGE number of connections. Harry is the sort to let it flow off his back, but those near him will realize something is up, and when Kate's name comes out as the reason? All of the connections with the cabal that runs London (love that reference *grin*) will dry up completely. I suspect her need to drive Harry away has actually managed to badly hurt her main livelihood.

Ah Kate really is a character that's leaving? Too bad. She had a playfulness that seemed to balance out well with Harry's characteristics

I love how spontaneous and playful your Harry is, such as when he leaves the discussion of Aurora's pay raise up to them, or the moment when Dumbledore is suspicious of when Harry puts his arm around him as they enter in the morning.

They are refreshing to read, and makes your characters feel more rounded and 3D

Yay! More screen time of Harry's interactions with Aurora. Reading it always makes it seem like an amusing scene to me that I can just picture.

Also, just like in your Authors Notes, I can see the shift of from a Harry/Fleur pairing to something else. I like that you didn't try to force that pairing to occur, and rather adapted to how your story changed
