Now that was fantastic. Kinda sorta a little bit predictable, but still completely awesome. Picturing Daphne at the pulpit putting them all in their place like that was effortless. It was exactly the type of thing that I like to imagine she would do.

Oh how I wish I had read this "fresh from the press" when it was the first of its kind and the twist unpredictable and the end a surprise twist and all.

Still, even if you can guess at what will happen in the end (and i think this must be the third time I read this, maybe the fourth so "spoilers" does not really apply anyway) the story is heartbreaking and sweet and nicely paced, toying just slightly with the impression of Mary Sue without ever giving in completely to the seduction of the motif and ultimately shaming all those Ginny shippers that go on about how she's a strong, independent character, feisty and fighty nd therefore so perfect for him if in this story Daphne is painted as far superior in any of these aspects in less lines than Ginny has pages to appear on and still not managing to really develop into what is attributed to her.

And of course this has another aspect that made me love it... I still can remember how convinced i was after reading book 6 for the first two or three times that Dumbledore's death was a big lie and he had tricked all including Voldemort and how it broke my heart how JKR decided to continue from there. I appreciate your "before Book 7" perspective and how you made Dmbles look just like the snakesoilsalesman he had been for a long time before his death. I mean come on... six meetings in almost ten months and you've only shows him three hours of homevideo "explaining" Voldi? There was something mighty fishy in the state of Hogwarts and your story is one of the few that tried out this angle and made it work. Thank you for that.
