Heh. Fun!

You definitely had me giggling and smiling throughout. Loved Lucius and Narcissa despite them being wildly OOC (except for being totally opportunistic and selfish Slytherin) -- in the best possible way. Good job!

Awesome story. Was a great read and damn glad I took the time to read this "one shot"

This fic was made out of hugs. And it turned out to be a very enjoyable read for it. Rather surprising plot turn out and how everything shifted.

First off, happy belated birthday! 40 down, hopefully many more to come!

Now, for the actual story, I really liked it. I thought some of the stuff was over the top, but it also took me way longer than it should have to notice the "my lord" stuff because I have been reading game of thrones fanfics recently, so it kinda got filtered out.

Other than that, it was a good story and I really like the idea of Harry having other friends than just Ron, Hermione, and sometimes Ginny, Neville, and Luna. The Harry/Astoria pairing is one I find cute, sadly there are not many with the pairing unless it also includes Daphne or is a harem. I also like how you went for a fairly original, yet more realistic, sisterly relationship between Daphne and Astoria, in that they are not best friends and do have petty sibling squabbles. Along the same line, most people put the parents in the same houses their kids are currently in, so it was nice to see it played differently even if it didn't really affect much of anything.

I completely see what you mean about the bullying, I was kind of surprised by the vehemence Lavender displayed, but it was still well done. It was also nice to see Ron not being bashed for once, even if I personally don't like his character too much, it seems that he is hated by everyone who writes in the fandom at times. I agree with your assessment of the "Ginny - not very important yet, also Astoria is there" thing, and Hermione did come across as asocial in this fic, then again reading while eating lunch at school was something I did too, so I can't really comment on that part.

I also like the idea of a club that Harry joins early on. We generally don't see much about clubs unless it's Quidditch or the DA, and if we do its not a club as much as it is "Harry is a pioneer by having friends in all four houses" and he meets with his friends in his year, with Luna, Ginny, Astoria, and other younger siblings added in later. That isn't a club. A club has people from all, or at least most, years. Also, as I mentioned earlier, Harry got other friends. In my experience, I have lots of friends who are in different circles, and not all of my friends know all of my other friends, and I'm fairly introverted.

In all, it was an enjoyable read. It will probably enter my rounds of fanfics I read on long car trips or when I'm not finding a new fanfic that catches my interest. Several of your other works are already there so it's no surprise this one will be too.

Thank you for writing this for us to enjoy and I look forward to any more stories you write along with your next update of Hogwarts Dawn.

- Lupy

Very cute. Very funny. Very clever. I have to admit to being kind of sad that it ended when it did. I was looking forward to the ball, the conversation that Ginny and Hermione must have had before the ball and after Ron left them, finding out just how Parkinson modified Draco's behavoir, how Albus ended up, after being so marginalized, and if Lily's threat to Minerva might have seen her confessing her wrongdoing and changing her attitudes. Nonetheless, (don't you love it when you can use that word?) I loved your main characters and how they all reacted to each other and thier circumstances. Great dialogue!! Harry's " Quelle surprise ." had me laughing out loud. Bravo! Well done!

Thanks for the story, but I wish you didn't always leave with us wanting the whole story

Damn it! Another great story. OK, some of it was a little (a little????) over the top but in a very enjoyable way. However, I am still hanging on what happens to Wednesday, Harry et al in the last bit of that story. Now, are we going to have to wait months again for another update? I truly like your "voice." It works, regardless of the story. While this reminds me of Princess and Pureblood Princess (both of which I enjoyed by the way), relax your standards a bit. This is supposed to be fun. That said, there are a number of what appear to be grammatical and other grating errors throughout. If you really care, happy to point out what I think they are. If not, no worries. Suffice it to say, I like this, but finish something, please. Cheers for a great story.

Glad to see the name Jeconais pop up in my feed again, and once again the story doesn't disappoint. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Quite enjoyable. Loved this version of Ron. Sucks that he gets bashed nearly every where these days

A CLIFFHANGER!!!!!! Maybe no big puzzle to a later result, but still, to make us wonder about Draco's fate? Annoying. Otherwise, as excellent as always.

Happy belated birthday! Even the mention of being thousands of feet in the air with just a piece of silk to control my fall scares me. And I always love a great concert. I loved Harry's easy going personality and how such small changes such as having a large array of friends created so many differences. Looking forward to whatever you decide to create or update next.

Another excellent and enjoyable story! Glad to see you are still writing ... and thank you so much for continuing to share them. I find myself coming back to all your stories again and again, every year or so ... and unlike so many others, they still stay fresh, even on repeated rereading, so again, thank you!

Happy Happy birthday. Just want to say, if this is the kind of present we receive for your birthday, then you most definately need to have many more birthdays each year!! Thanks for another quick reading "one-shot".

BTW. My birthday is coming up in August. You can have it as I am tired of them anyway and wish to just stay the same age for a while.

What a delight it was to see a new story by the master - I enjoyed Motivations a great deal - I liked the sparse prose, not quite telegraphic but definitely lean in setting up the history of the club and the wonderful friendships that were built, then the shift to more descriptive dialogues between the major characters.

you have an amazing skill at building characters that are instantly plausible and seen in my minds eye, even though little time is spent in descriptions.

thanks so much for another delightful story to share with my closest friends.

warmest regards

Excellent story, I've always wondered why they have no squibs around since potions requires no 'wand waving' according to Snape. Of course I plan on having it be 'squib's work' just to drive him nuts. Anyway I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to your next one!

I always adore reading your stories, each time I notice there is an update or get an email about what, I drop what I am doing and start reading.

Kind if sad that this is a one shot, I would love to know what happened after words, with the squibs, how Harry put the magic in things, and what ever else.

First, Happy Birthday, I just turned 41, so I know the midlife horror. Look on the bright side. You have your hair still. Sadly, mine has left for warmer climates.

Second: A few spelling mistakes. Nothing someone who isnt used to Fanfiction wouldn't be able to ignore, Meh, I just thought you'd be amused is all.

Finally: This reminds me of another fic. Harry/Astoria pairing, very romantic, traditional and 'proper', according to Pure Blood culture. I think it was A Maiden's Kiss or something like that.

Which is a good thing. This was a fun fic which was enjoyable to read. It has humour, an oddball cast and made fun of several facets of the wizarding world, such as Lucius and Narcissa being able to just change sides with no possible repercussions. Plus the Greengasses going for a kebab.

Overall, I give it a solid 8 out of 10.
