That little girl wow... something else brainwashing yourself you normally have to pay for that or at least get kid napped by someone to get brainwashed to any degree.

You do realise that you're going to be bombarded with requests to write a Slytherin Trio story now, don't you? B-D Not from me, I hasten to add, but I can see the idea being very popular... just like this story.
I did enjoy Hermione in this chapter; nice to see that she has truly matured and lost her child-like worship of authority figures. Add her unchallenged brain-power to the mix and you get a witch whom any Prince would be grateful to have as an advisor -- which is just as well, given that Gabbi's subconscious seems to be running the show.
Brilliant idea, that, and I look forward to seeing what you do with it -- and who gets what role in the fairy-tale version of the Prince-Who-Lived and his Princess that the latter is "writing" in her head. Lots of potential there for comedy; what's Fudge going to be, for instance, if Dumbledore is the "wizened advisor" (sounds more like a Grand Vizier to me ;-))?
I presume that Albus is the prime mover behind the boredom that seems to have settled over magical Britain; it does sound like the dream of a certain type of teacher -- not one that I would have expected him to be, but YMMV on that point, especially if his tendency to manipulate people and events is considered.
However, here comes Whirlwind Harry-and-Gabbi to stir things up, and thank Merlin for it! Gred and Forge stuck as cleaners in the Ministry? I say thee Nay! Of course, the big question is, given her penchant for match-making "advice", who is Gabbi going to pair Sirius with? An evil part of me suggests McGonagall, if only so that the pair of them can replace Ron and Hermione as Hogwarts' prime example of the Battle of the Sexes...!
I can hardly wait for next week to find out.

Well, Perfect Slytherins has Harry and Hermione in Slytherin... but I was reaching a little bit with Ron wanting to be there. The line was added for comic effect more than anything else.
I wanted to make all the characters older, and I always like Hermione, so it was important to get her just right. You'll find out more about what Hermione actually did later - this story has a lot of little hints that grow into ideas later.
Albus is Albus. All I'll say is that I'm bored of Dumbledore bashing ...

I find this a very interesting chapter,it nice to look at people memory's. I like the talk that Gabrielle had with Bill about getting married to Fleur, I do think that Harry let Dumbledore off the hook to easy. Dumbledore may not be evil but he does manipulated people, to me that saying he don't care about the other person feelings as long as Dumbledore get his way. My cousin Virginia is a master manipulator and she people as her pawn on a chess board to play with as she see fit.

"Can you imagine what it would have been like with the three of us in Slytherin?"
... now tell me, Tim. How did you force yourself to finish this story with a plot bunny like that smack in the middle of this chapter!? It was brilliant to imagine the Sorting hat wanting to put all of them in Slytherin.
Sure, maybe _they_ would have been more-or-less the same, but imagine what it would have done to school and society!?
Sigh, I suddenly have an urge to read more of Ishtar's "Family Values". I hope her muse comes back soon. :-(
Great chapter, Tim. You conveyed a lot of info without reducing this to a lot of talking heads. Very nice turnaround on the Hermione front. But I think I may like your Ron even more. It's great seeing a wise/mature Ron plopping his feet on Dumbledore's coffee table. ;-)
keep moving forward!

...Now I -really- can't wait for the next chapter. Psychology has always fascinated me, not enough to pursue a career in it (too emotional) but I love it nontheless. Keep up the good work, bye.

Wow, with that last statement, this story has entered an area with a bit more creepiness now. It makes me wonder what would happen if Harry wasn't fulfilling the role that Gabbi thinks he should? Fun part, and liked the description of Albus, which makes a lot of sense, but have a feeling that he can't let his manipulating nature go. Going to be fun to see how the rest of the wizarding world adjusts to this, and what this might mean for Harry and Gabbi later on.

I think i ask that exact question in part 6 (maybe 5) I can't remember exactly...

Sneaky! Incredibly cool, and I do love your writing (but that's old news). Imagine the three of them in Slytherin...hee hee! And Gabrielle forcing her subconscious to believe she's living a fairy tale is just brilliant. Because that's what she will be and is doing. I love this - Harry's reply to Dumbledore's offer of a lemon drop was pure genius, and I really look forward to seeing more of how he's going to rock the world. What a perfect story to read over summer. Thanks a bunch. *grins*
Cheers!

You are such a drama queen. ;)
No questions from me right now, little too tired from tromping around the zoo today.
I will say, loved Harry's "getting-things-done" attitude. Seeing more of manipulative young!Gabbi was great.
Hermione with her own plan? Dead brilliant. I'd been thinking, after reread, that there was no way Harry would be like that with just Gabbi's input, or on his own. I thought, though, that it wasn't any one person's effort that gave Harry that... maturity or control. More like everyone slipping in their complaints or hopes and dreams, thinking they were talking to a normal comatose guy. You know, naturally. Not 'cause of manipulation. Hee.
Finally, I said it on the forum nicer, but you suck for leaving this chapter at that. It's something I got a stronger feeling of this chapter - I mean, an 8-year-old believing in fairy tales is one thing, but an 11-year-old? Not so much. And then to see Hermione stating it so bluntly? GAH! Pure evil, hon.
As always, thanks for the new chap. Loves it.
