For a moment there, I expected to see Gabrielle have a discussion with Hogwarts, and try for some time dilation of her own. Nice chapter, well paced, and strong. The kickboxing makes for a nice unique facet of this Harry. He now has both magical, physical, and sexual confidence in spades. Of course the hardest part is the emotional confidence. Yes he is more self assured, and is not so damaged, but Gabby hit it on the head. He has built up some strong stone walls around his heart. Counting down the seconds till the next update.

True that Katie was paid to set Harry with Fleur, but as with George and Fred, she's started to change.

I don't see that as being wrong.

Meh, again as I mentioned in my last review, I'm pretty biased against this Fleur.

Not because of an inherent dislike of Fleur's character (this time), but just because as it is, Harry has grown more confident, more mature, and much darker. Fleur is not matching him at all. She's not secure in her own body, she's not secure in her own power, how the hell can there be anything in a Harry/Fleur relationship except physical lust? They have nothing to connect over. Literally, all they have is Gabrielle and I honestly don't see that relationship working out if the only thing that they can bond over is Gabrielle.

You're one of the few writers who can supply a large amount of highly expressive details and keep the story moving forward. In this chapter, that applies to the fights, as well as the dancing at the club, which strongly reminded me White Knight, Grey Queen.

After the super-Harry action, first Fleur's, then Gabrielle's comments about Harry made for a very fitting, though worrisome, ending. In being all things to all people, will Harry be able to have someone for himself? Kate seems to have walled herself off from that possibility. Fleur's comments showed how overwhelmed she was by him, in both positive and negative ways. It almost seems like Gabrielle is best suited for Harry, since she both sees him as he is and accepts it. But the age difference is a stumbling block for the next 8-10 years.

Suffice it to say, I'm looking forward to your subsequent chapters.

Hey loved the chapter.

National Champion Harry Potter? Would love to see the look on the Dursleys face when they see the championship on tv or read about it in the newspaper. Are you planning a scene about that?

About Kate - I think that her part in the story is done. She has taught Harry what he needs & she would not be the correct person for him. As shown in the chapter she is getting attached to Harry & she needs to distance herself from him.

my only problem with this chapter is that there is no prior qualification for harry to be in a championship of any kind most championships require at least one regular compitition participation and one qualifiyng round

This chapter almost got to be too much for me with all of the "HarrySuperWizardMan" stuff, But I think you pulled it out at the end, first with his admission he couldn't fairly beat the other guy, and then with Fleur's thoughts on the downsides of doing what he did, and how he has hurt himself. The irony of it is quite nice, he did it to protect his friends but now he has become someone who coudl hurt them worse(emotionally) than any spell.
