The disturbing thing is that Harry may have lost some of his humanity during his time alone and bonding with the school at such a deep level. I wonder what it will take for Fleur to take the risk and for Harry to let her in?

Wow is all I can say!!! I just love this story. How everyone is tied together with each other and how Harry, is actually the glue that hold the group together. I love Fleur and Gabby's parents. Michael is a hoot, having his flirting turned back on him by a guy no less.....the twins are so out there. Great to see that even though they started this, they now realize the are the followers. Thank you for a great read and can't wait for the next installment!

Really enjoying this light hearted take on the Tournament, especially the method of Harry's growing up.

Thanks for posting..

I did a little dance in my chair when I saw you had posted a new chapter to this wonderful story. And as always I was not disappointed. I am happy you are back to providing us with your fiction's and am looking forward to the next chapter.

Not to sound too greedy, but I am hoping that we can soon enjoy the next installment of your Perfect Slytherins series as well :)

Great to have you back.

Yeah, life can really take it out of you if you're not carful, but it beats the alternative.

Good chapter to come back to. Love what you're doing with Gabby. She's going to be quite the young lady when she grows up.

Now we get to see how the rest of the people respond to Harry and his friends day out and get ready for the third task.

Four way draw? That ought to make the graveyard scene exciting. Heaven help anyone who trys to 'kill the spares' there.

Thank you for sharing with us.

I look forward to your next chapter.

Wow, Jeconais, this is Harry taking the Chuck Norris path to badassery! Excellent work with the scenes this time, you really pulled in a lot of different interactions to make sure that the whole cast got a bit of screen time here, and all of it in meaningful ways. I think that the doubts Fleur is showing by the end of the chapter make a lot of sense for the character, given what she has seen Harry doing over the course of the Tournament. Our second-most favorie half-Veela (We all know that Gabby takes top honors in this fiction.) is absoultely right in her perception of Harry. He's forced himself to grow up early, and as a consequence has lost a lot of the need for interdependance on others that most personalities retain from normal social interactions. This is not to say that he can't use the sort of social linking involved, but he's become much more insular in his dealings with others.

That being said, I also think that Gabby's right, her sister's letting her fears make her pass up a pretty good opportunity for something good. Oddly enough, I think that in a lot of ways, Gabrielle's view of Harry sort of fits well with his own less than complete social upbringing during the formative years. I think that because of the way he was brought up, combined with the training he's gotten this year, Harry's probably very close to exactly the sort of person that a child Veela needs if they want to reach their full potential. It's a pity that Fleur's grown old enough that adult cynicism is getting in the way of a good thing for her.

I'll be looking forward to the next installment of this.

Interesting and fun as always. Now that you've proved Harry is the complete bada$$ and that all women swoon before him, can we get back to having fun with magic and wiping out bad guys?

Brilliant story.

Love it. Very unusual, brilliantly written and with some of the best characterizations I've seen so far.

Looking very much forward to see how Fleur/Kate situation will pan out.

Thank you for writing.

I decided to sleep on my thoughts, before I took another crack at the entire chapter. Like, in the past, other of your works I've reread I have found underlying tones that I did not detect at first. I originally thought you were aiming at Kate dating Harry, but, I saw, like normal humans, that she was caught up in the moment. It's wonderful to see interpretations of Harry other than the all powerful guy who always gets the girl. Too often authors like to say"...and then the attraction was unbearable, before Harry swept up [redacted] into a kiss and they exclaimed their immortal love for each other". It's nice to see that everyone is overcome by their inner demons, and that inner strength that keeps them at bay is what keeps people moving forward. I can't wait to see what happens next, and can only hope it's as great as the rest of the story.

I like how self assured Harry seems, but what really sets the story apart, is at what price he had to pay to gain his self reliance and assurance. What mosts people fail to understand is that not everything is black or white, everyone has demons to battle with, and it seems Harry has issues like everyone else. The dark undertones to Kate and Harry help move the story, while at the same time drawing sympathy. My eyes watered a few times on my initial reading, and thats not something that happens often.

So, Kudos Jeconais, best chapter yet.

I'm really sorry that you're life has changed dramatically, and I hope that you're alright and coping in the best way you can.

I just wanted to say that you are quite possibly the best fanfiction writer I have ever seen, and quite a bit better than a few published authors I've read. I've read all your published stories, and there has yet to be one I don't like. Your stories are the only ones that I'll read if I don't agree with the ship, simply because I love your writing style and the humor (or sometimes heartbreaking sadness) and intricacies you implement into the stories astound me. I don't even care about the time between updates, as it gives me an excuse to reread part if not all of the story.

What I'm trying to say is, I love your stories, and I hope things start going your way.

Thanks for another nice update.

While the update was enjoyable paticularly the reasons behind some of Gabrielle's actions, and the glow in the dark paint. I found the chapter on the whole to be a bit waffley as if you could cut a large portion of it and still tell the same story. Oh well, looking forward to the next update.

So very happy to see an update! So very sad to have to wait a couple of weeks!

So sad for Harry to have killed Snape in that way.

Harry, as you've said in your author note, does at last have something that is totally his - his ability to fight without magic. I think he really needed this for his self-esteem. Hopefully, he'll see himself in a better light and gain more confidence as a person, not in the same way his other lessons have gone.

So happy Ron and Ginny (a.k.a. Twit and Twat) haven't been in this story. If they do show up, please destroy them utterly.

That's what I call those two. If I ever write a story, I'll include that.

Anne

Excellent chapter. Love the way things aren't so cut and dried and as always the little girl who views the world in a rather primal way that everyone else over complicates.
