Now I understand the dragon thing. I like the way this is picking up fragments of Hope while managing to be its own story. Most excellent!

No it is not any clearer. The only possibilities I see are Fudge, who I deem incompetent and a nuisance more than a villain and maybe Gabby's father, who may try to keep them apart in the belief he is doing the right thing for her.

Do have one suggestion. Since Gabby and Harry seem to enjoy getting people together. If they get Remus and Tonks together I would suggest that Sirius and Harry spring a dowry on him. He can't refuse because it is traditional and after Sirius gets his head on straight she will be a member of the Black family. It is a little cliched with the Remus poor but to proud to take charity. Though with a few years as a teacher he should be doing alright it probably wouldn't be enough to start a family with and this could provide a nice foundation for starting a family.

More soon please.

Doris: Wow, that's something (a living ex) that I haven't seen before. AD volunteering to follow the crusade isn't unexpected. Harry reversing it and dumping him into the deep end about his own life most definitely was. Kudos for the completely-out-of-left-field move.

F&G do make a great speech, don't they? "Welsh Sheep Council"? Your closing A/N address this, but I didn't find it forced. They were a bit odd (they ARE F&G, after all), but mostly within the bounds of taste. Their general reticence to go over the top I attributed to it being a family wedding.

> "Is Firebirdie allowed sausages?"
> Dobby shook his head. "Sausages gives Firebirdie gas."
*shudder* Phoenix with gas? That is a truly scary combination.

> "Floor forty two, office negative three,"
*blink* Yeah, why would the WW number the offices in anything approaching a logical method? Nice touch.

> Catalan numbers
Dammit, you're going to make me look this up, aren't you?
[Wiki-search] *goggle* Gah! You're trying to drive us insane with high-level mathematics, aren't you?

> "You!" a voice shouted. "Do you know what you’ve done?"
> "Yes," Harry replied instinctively.
> "Good," the man responded. "So many people come in here and don’t know."
*laugh* Oh, that ENTIRE scene is beyond priceless. Nice to see that Luna got it honestly :)

Ooh, that is a wicked prank on the Ministry.

Whirlwind of a story. Looking forward to next week.

Hermy Hermy Hermy. Playing a joke like that!? I do hope that Harry manages to get back at her soon. Maybe he can get someone to compliment her on _her_ breasts. Hmm.

And no, I really don't know who the bad guy is. Though I do think that Albus caved a bit quickly. I don't think it is Remus or Sirius. The psychiatrist is too far removed to be an issue, aside from him being in Hermione's sights. Just who is benefitting form all the economic slowdown that happened? Where is the motive? I'm grasping.

It's not ... Dolores is it? She has no motive either, really.

Still, it's fun. Though it is suddenly odd to read a chapter with so little Gabbi in it.

best wishes, tim!

No, it's not any clearer who's the bad guy. And I do look forward to being surprised. grins* Though, on second thought - Gabrielle went visiting her parents for a quick chat and didn't come back. That doesn't sound too good. So, we'll se Harry rescuing her in the next chapter, then? I flatly refuse to believe that Hermione is the villain because she gave Gabrielle the portkey. Nope. Not true. Can't be. The wicked parents is a possibility - or maybe rather the disgusting shrink... What's that shitty doc done to her parents? *grumbles*

This chapter was wonderful of course, and no, I don't have far to high an opinion of your intellect - your writing and story-telling abilities otoh... They're magnificent. Truly.

I must be incredibly dense, I didn't realize there was a bad guy, there was supposed to be a bad guy, or that the story even needed a bad guy. I guess, if I had to guess, I would say Fudge. The situation the bad guy is causing is the economy issues? I don't know. I just like reading your stories. I always enjoy what you write.

That chapter was a bit strange; I enjoyed it but it was a bit strange.

Ya know Tim, if I weren't far too masculine for it, I would have Squee'd in delight when I got the alert for this chapter *GRIN*

However, I will tell you that I almost stopped reading in the center of the chapter to leave a review thanking you for the Dumbledore bit, you've done more to humanize him in that one brief section than most 30K stories.

Now, because Lorien has been quiet lately:

Ahem! "JIG, TWIRL, BOUNCE, REFRESH!!!!"

Thank you very much
