I don't know if you still read these Tim but here goes.

It's funny going back and reading this story after all these years. Looking back and seeing a story that myself and many others would consider a classic; and yet if a newer fanfic author tried to post something like this these days they would be flamed into oblivion.

Have we come so far from the early days of fanfiction (I started with Anya's Naked Quidditch Match) where we now hold fanfic authors to the same degree as a fully fledged published author. I know you yourself have mentioned somewhere that you look back on early stories like this and WKGQ with pride yet some embarrasment at the way you wrote.

Maybe it is because we are older now and more cynical about the world but after reading Blue Steel and the latest chapter of Hogwarts Dawn they seem more real (despite being a story about magic) than this, even though I still love this just like I love some of Old Crows earlier stories.

Fantastic chapter, Herry and his power but best of all was Minerva dancing on the old mans desk. I may die laughing before I can review all the chapters.

re pre-omake AN...

"harry pranks back" - is this going to be a star wars xover?! :-)

Harry nodded and yawned. He concentrated hard on the spell, and his bed in the Gryffindor common room.

Shouldn't that be "in Griffindor Tower"?

You really didn't need to keep the language G-ratd, you know. And it's perfectly alright to have the war as the centrepoint of a story - all your stories seem to use Voldemort and the war as a write-off or simple background characters. The main plot always revolves around Harry and his love interest(s).

While fine, most if not all your stories share that main plot, which makes most of your stuff a bunch of fluff pieces. WK, GQ was better about that, and I do look for a sequel someday, though.

TMW just typifies the plot you recycle, and it gets tedious. 5/10.

In addition - (just read Rex's review)
Hermione says talks about the attachments as something that doesnt even exist.

but i think that is in reference to what the attachment is physically - it doesnt exist.
but the magic of it does.

Attachments exist, but physically, it doesn't. its an illusion of parchment.

That is how i read it.

Hmm, you know I didn't notice this the first couple times I read the fic, but theres something iffy with the mmail attachments. This chapter Hermione rants about Harry creating an mmail attachment as "something which doesn't even exist," but last chapter the Weasley twins sent out the nudity prank plan as an attachment. Am I misinterpreting something, or is there a slight continuity issue there? On the plus side, I'm only noticing this on my third read through, so it certainly isn't screwing up comprehension. Meh. Still an awesome story either way.

From any other author, that would be the most arrogant claim penned. However, I've read enough of your stuff to know that you have, in fact, ascended to the lofty heights of true geekism. Congratulations.

This chapter makes me laugh out loud every time I read it. I love the self-deprecating last line about Prof. Jeconais, too. Nice touch.

Oh yay, things are moving along. I'm really doing better understanding some of the stuff from chapter 10 now. It's really amazing, also. Heh.

Loved the Mmail Portkey and the change in snapes charictor over all like i said in my first review i have read this several times though i have only read the hbp once and not even all the way thru so that gives you some idea of the level of quality this story is.

I can’t believe that Voldemort actually uses Mmail — too funny. Min doing a jig on Dumbledore’s desk, shaking her "austere booty" is an image that will be making me laugh for days to come. Loved the final lesson too.

i found a typo.when Ron tells the other weasley brothers about the prank and fred and george reply, they only need to reply to four redheads, not five.the weasley brothers are:gred, forge, percy, bill, charlie and ron.take out gred and forge and you get:[strike]gred,forge,[/strike] bill, percy, charlie, and ron.that's four, not five.

If I were the Weasley Brothers, I would be scared. VERY scared. Son of a Marauder, godson of another, and a wizard that has the rather frightening capability of NO limits on what he can do magically (Portkeys on Mmail attachments?)....*YIKES*! Even Severus Snape (not to mention half the Slytherins) has a clue, and want to be on the side Harry is on.
