I have to say that I can NOT WAIT until Wednesday meets up with Luna... That will be a scene for the ages...

Bwahahahaha!! XD

There are few people in this world who understand the pleasure that comes with pain. While I would not want to feel miserable, it is as much a part of life as joy and laughter.

Overall, I am enjoying this story very much. Keep up the good work! :D

P.S. Update soon!

Snape was wonderfully snarky, but he was right. If only the Gryffs hate Harry and Wednesday, then what does that mean about the Gryffs?

Watching Lucius being squashed like the bug he is is quite amusing, as always.

> "You’re not a girl, you’re Wednesday."
As trite and juvenilely humorously as that sounds on the surface, that actually is the explanation.

> I go to school alone, make a few friends, get betrayed by authority figures, lose people I let into my heart, and then I die, and win, and end up in a dull marriage with stupidly named children.
*blink* Well, that was a one-sentence synposis of the series.

Voldy unmasks himself in the Great Hall? I was waiting for Flitwick to blow a hole in Quirrell's head.

> No Gryffindor could ever truly understand the pain and glory of the Cruciatus curse. It was beyond their narrow mindsets.
[long pause] But to understand that, truly understand that, prevents the person from being able to function in society. Death Eater or Addams, we all agree that they are not properly functioning in the same society that everyone else is.

Which - for the Addams - is what they want.

Yea! More fun reading! I do vaguely remember this installment. It must have been a while ago, and there have been a LOT of miles since then (at least for me). Looking forward to more demented fun!

A brilliant take of the first year, the re-education of Hermione is great and most amusing and the closing part ....

Sometimes i wish i could be insane, just to get that intensity of passion for a while. I wish i could be insane enough to make the pictures of Giger or Borsch, to write like Lovecraft or for that matter, to love like Gomez and Morticia.

Creatively speaking, a thousand thanks for this taste of it. On a more mundane level I don't know whether to congratulate you or pity tou for the ability to describe it!

Thanks again.

You know wednesday explanation was kinda of beautiful in an odd sort of way! and oh yeah, take it from me...pain can be after awhile a welcomed friend, that is if you experience pain all of your life!

Excellent chapter. Loved the bit with Gomez and Morticia. I could actually picture the classic TV characters saying those lines.

I continue to be amazed at the way that you build so much complexity into a story, yet deliver it with the touch that makes it sound like the simplest, most obvious and logical continuation.

I haven't read any of the Addams Family literature, but that doesn't disrupt the story at all - if anything, the backstory that you continue to provide enmeshes the Addams with Harry so well that little knowledge of the Addamses seems necessary.

In addition, I was heartily amused by your treatment of Hermione in this chapter. Canon evidences that she makes oddly rash decisions (viz: House Elves) that are out of character with her supposed thirst for knowledge, and you bring that out in her non-understanding of Harry and Wednesday, as well as her "textbook" speak. Yet this is balanced by her friendship with Puggsley in particular and by the way that she becomes included in their little group.

Just an oddly hanging question that remains from the end of this part - exactly what is in the crypt under the altar of the church in Little Hangleton? Information on the Horcruxes? (because presumably at this point all the actual Horcuxes are where they end up in canon?)

Some very interesting discussions and some amusing slights at canon. I did love the way Harry and co. had fun with the Stone and everything. Even more, I loved the insight into just what is between Harry & Wednesday; it might be a bit of madness for both, but it's truly inspired madness.

This looks to be an absolutely fascinating story and I'm rather looking forward to the installments from Second Year.

I had fun reading this chapter. Story-wise, it developed the children nicely while making the Philosopher Stone task and Voldemort seem entirely trivial. Cruciatus Auror summons were an inspired twist. Seeing Lucius get manhandled so was also a pleasure.

The only thing that I found a mite disappointing was the Hermione/Wednesday conversation at the end. The flashback scene, in particular, had the feeling of being too easy. It's a matter of personal style, but I sometimes feel after info-dumps like this that much of the mystery is gone, that I know so much about the characters and what makes them tick that they can't surprise me anymore.

Again, a matter of personal style--who's to say which is best? Regardless, I'm very much enjoying this story and I look forward to your next update.

Well written , very good story involving one of my favourite crossovers.

I especially like the character development of Pugsley beyond that which was shown on screen.

Thanks

Lee

Why bury the kids in the family crypt? Why not just let them in and let them play with the bones? Much more fun.

This story is wonderfully wicked. I lovet Mortician and GOmez going to Azkaban for a holiday - will the dementors be properly scared when they leave? Whatever will be next? I really look forwad to finding out.
