Splendid update and a remarkable view into the interaction of Harry and Wednesday.

Are there countries where burying kids is legal? :)

I disagree with the "Tom Riddle is the perfect Slytherin" statement at the start of the story (even if it was not yours). Tom Riddle was charming and had won over nearly everyone in school. If he had an ounce of cunning he would have been Minister of Magic in ten years time and taken over the country like that. Even if Dumbledore suspected him, discrediting Dumbledore would have been easy after looking through his history (seen in DH)...

Lovely. I normally hate fiction that mixes worlds, but this one is very interesting. Keep it up!

LOL "he is the Boy Who Lived to become a nightmare". I love the way they protect Hermione by default. Brilliant conversation between the teachers. Voldemort is not going to be happy when he meets his nemesis.

Loved the 'forty-third honeymoon'. Giggled my head off at Wednesday's outburst. I imagine quite a few Hogwarts girls are now torn between hiding under the table and trying to jump Harry's bones.

Absolutely superb chapter. I love the conversation between Harry and Wednesday too. You really understand the Addams way of life. Great stuff. More please.

Very good, but I think there are some points that need to looked at.

"You do know that there is a better way of proving Snape wrong?" Nicholas said to Harry.

I think "Snape" is not exactly appropriate here.

Something like this:

"You do know that there is a better way of your Professor wrong?"

There are other occurrences as well were the faculty members use their first names too much (I think the first part of Part 2).

For example when McGonagall talks about Hermione I think she would have used "Miss Granger" instead of "Hermione".

Aside from that I think this story is excellent.

I enjoyed the insight of the Addams family way of thinking. Thanks for the update.

Excellent!
*Love* the repeated digs at canon flaws, EG "I go to school alone, make a few friends, get betrayed by authority figures, lose people I let into my heart, and then I die, and win, and end up in a dull marriage with stupidly named children."
:)

It is highly doubtful that the ministry detects unforgivables at Hogwarts. Neither Draco nor Umbitch seemed worried about being caught and Crouch Jr. cast them repeatedly.
Also, if they *DID* track them at Hogwarts then they surely would also do so at the ministry and, probably, key figures' homes. We know from canon that that is not the case.

This is a wonderful story on so many levels. At first I thought it might be a sort of Addams family parody, but then I realised that you have taken what is essentially black comedy and given it a whole new slant. Yes there is humour and there is a sort of 'over the top' feeling of satire/parody, but yet overall it has a serious aspect that leaves me with a sense of pathos; your characters are so real and yet they are still not fully developed and have a surreal existence.

As you can see you have left me deeply moved and effectively confused, which is the mark of excellent fictional writing. Thank you C

I must admit that I have spent pretty much all of my life trying to avoid the household brain nullifing device commonly known as a TV.

I must admit to having watched a few episodes of the Munsters and when the Addams Family came along I never bothered, at all.

So I am starting with a clean slate; so to speak and I must admit to enjoying this very much.

It's nice to have two The Addams Family/Harry Potter crossovers with each one taking different aspect (from different media) of The Addams Family: Isthar in "Family Values" the family, here the Addamses... ;-)

Gah, Gah! You melt my mind Jeconais (in a good way, of course).

I'm already in love with this story, and it's only 25% done.

Go Wednesday. Grab life in big chunks.
Great story, except Albus is still around. I like the fact that Harry could see where fate meant for him to go and realized how truly empty it was.
As I read the epilogue of book 7, all I could think was "someone, shot Harry now. He has suffered enough, and all he has is mediocrity."
I was rather nauseated over Albus Severus Potter.

bajab posted a comment on Thursday 7th August 2008 9:41pm

I didn't really like this story at first because my own views of the Addams Family (TV series) were quite different, then you wrote this:
"Oh no," Wednesday disagreed. "Misery is a wonderful thing. It tears at your heart and soul, it makes you realise that you are alive. Good and bad, up and down, black and white, they are all extremes, all ideals, and if you accept that, then misery can be your biggest dream, happiness your biggest nightmare."

THAT is how I saw them (not physcotic killers).

Great writing, again.

And Thomas Marvolo Riddle *still* has Utterly No Clue what he has unleashed upon the planet, even *after* Harry bushwhacked in in front of the entire school (including Nicholas Flamel and a gaggle of Aurors). Unfortunately for Severus Snape, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian DumbAsADoor, Filius Flitwick, and Minerva McGonagall, they DO have an idea. And they are Absolutely Terrified Of It.
