Amazing, just... wow... i thought you couldn't possibly find a story better than white knight, grey queen... here it is, shorter but so much better at the same time...
Congratulations, and thank you for providing us with such awesome fiction.

Outstanding -- how you can take a background character and make her real amazes me.

thank you!

Very enjoyable story. It just seems to me that your work is getting more and more polished; it was 'Alone' where I first started thinking there'd been a quantum jump, and I think Perfect Situations proves the point.

A whole different scenario here ... Harry deserted by his friends, Dumbledore returning from the dead (!) and being manipulative to the extreme, etcetera. I think the chasing-girl!Harry was a few miles out of canon character, but so probably is duplicitous!Dumbledore as well, and who cares, that's what Fan Fiction is for! In your other stories you've had Harry start off introverted and then change over time; it was a surprise to see him start off that way in this tale.

Did you end up reading HBP anyway? You seem to have a lot of its plot summarised here ... or did you get a summary from some one/site again?

(You didn't miss much, if the latter :-( )

"Ms-barely-an-A-Cup". Heh. Since HBP I've cooled a lot towards Ginny, and this story didn't help me any. But we weren't supposed to like her in this one, were we? Luckily your drabble for her came along today and redeemed her a lot in my eyes.

You've got me wondering about how you had Hermione "staring at the picture" in an "anything but platonic" fashion. Hmmm. You're really leaning towards harems these days!?

It's been great fun watching your drabbles flow on from this piece. As always, thanks heaps for your efforts in keeping us all amused!

Bloody brilliant, though the portrayal of Hr and DD being that way was rather difficult to believe. But then... it's Dumbledore, ey?

I like this. That was great. Thanks for writing it. Quite the twist at the end, even though you forshadowed it early. ("Forshadowing - your clue to good literature" - Bloom County)

Thank you.

Any chance for a sequel? I'd love to know what happens to the rest of the crowd. Dumbledore arrested for the unforgivable; the scandal of what he did. Snape the target of any death eaters still alive. Pansy and Draco trying to hunt Daphne down.... lots of possibilities.

Anyway, thanks again. I'm enjoying all your stories. (haven't gotten to the Harry/Ginny ones yet - don't care for that shipping.)

Oh Jeconais, you never cease to amaze. The writing was fluid and graceful, and it captures an essence to Daphne that works brilliantly. It also explains why Daphne isn't very vocal in the books. I thought that this was one of the best stories I've ever red.

BTW: I can't wait to read more of "Alone".

'Rumours of my death were greatly exaggerated.’

Uh! I can’t remember why that quote is so famous, it going to annoy me now ….

Excellent story, nice touch at the end with the snake skin…

That was just evil. I love that. Just the right amount of humor, suspense, drama, and sexual situations to make the perfect story. I love your style, Jeconais.

excellent, are you going to continue or is this just a one shot?

sadfru posted a comment on Thursday 29th September 2005 9:36pm

Holy moly I love it, although I think I'd like to see Harry more human in a fic...Matter of fact I have a challenge for you.

I challenge you to have an Evil harry, it can be where he just turns his back on the people, it can be him being affected by dark magics or demonic possesion, pretty much anything...this includes having dumbledore and the like being the actual ggod guys but you can have them screwing up the situation badly but they have to be good

Even if you don't

You keep writing and I'll keep reading

PS Ever thought of a Dungeon Keeper (PC game) crossover???
