I should not be laughing at a cruxifiction

But I am.

Loved Dawn's final message for Dawn though; showed he wasn't some flat 2D character.

Long time, huh? It's been years, but I just stumbled upon your old work here, and I think it might be the one thing that might get me to start writing again. Thank you for that. Great story as always, and I hope this reignites my old buffy writing. Thanks again!

Great fic all around, I think you rushed the detox a bit, but it's easily handwaved with "Slayer", so that's okay.
Keep up the good work.

A truly AWESOME Xander. Witchmaster - through force of will. Ordained Priest - in the Church of Elvis. Opener of Doors - with Dynamite.
And Executioner - with a sense of humour.

I loathe the Buffy character from the series.

I never would have dreamed of reading BtVS fanfiction, and if Kinsfire hadn't written Ties Of Blood, i probably wouldn't have. To my amu.... amazement, i find stories that emphasizes just those traits in her that i dislike so much, and changes them. Even highlighting the hero of the series. NOT what i expected.
You're following style with the series very well, but i think Xander is a bit too mature. The Willow-sub should have been introduced earlier, or at least, been more pronounced earlier. Nevermind. Details.

What a strange fic. Drug addicted Buffy. I've finally gotten into the tv show, but I'm only up to disc 5 of season five (Mama Summers just died), so I wonder just how far you're deviating from the official Buffyverse.

Not sure how I feel about this fic. It's up to your usual standards, if you allow for the fact that it's some of your earlier work. Very angsty and depressing, much like the show often is. I wonder how much I'm judging based off knowing your HP fanfic first. Especially things like TMW, where you have such a more light-hearted romp sort of style. This feels like we're still getting our happily ever after, it's just a painful and rough ride to get there.

For some reason heroin-addicted Buffy I can just sort of accept as the impetus for the plot. But if something is holding me back from loving this, it's that Xander is so grown up and adult. I'm not sure I like him so mature. Hero loyal Xander is great, but this is more adult Xander than hero Xander. Not to say he's too much of Gary Stu, but there is a bit of it. And I think I like Xander better with more quips and less interventions. And the whole Willow-addicted-to-magic seemed sort of thrown in this chapter, and didn't really have any effect on the story before now at all.

Oh well. Like I said, not entirely sure how I feel about this fic. Entertaining. No other author would I have even given a shot at reading a heroin-addicted Buffy fic. But interesting nonetheless. If you feel up to replying, I'm curious how this last chapter (part 7) was changed when it was rewritten.

Nevertheless, thanks for writing, sharing, and posting.

Only suggestion I would make is to have introduced the Willow-Magic-Addiction subplot in an earlier chapter, or at least have fore-shadowed it.

"You took a correspondence course to become a priest of the Church of Elvis?" - This made me laugh out loud.

Xander was a little over the top, but then again, he's had a couple of days to plan this out, so...

She's bouncing back a little fast. I can buy the Slayer healing factor, but the psychological side feels it should have a little more inertia to me.

But then again, I'm probably letting my shrink training warp my perspective.

Holy *bleep*. No punches being pulled here, no sir.

It is good to see the long term consequences of her 'descent' though. I always felt like they were a little under-played in the series.

That was an unexpected Maguffin.

Buffy feels a little OOC, but that's almost inevitable in a story like this. Addiction makes anyone OOC.

I really do like this one. Very nice. You made it believable for the BS to have happened.

A possible match-up for you: Xander/Willow/Tara. I've seen it done a few times but only once done decently. I honestly think that you could do it and make it believable.
