Nice. All the important stuff said without some of the over the top angst you sometimes see. Thanks.

Absolutely hilarious - reading Dawn bitch out Buffy, Willow and Giles. All those things you listed are why i started hating the show eventually. Considering I love your HP and Naruto stories I'm confused as to why I'm only reading this now.

Go DX! Long Live the Dread Pirate Xander! All Hail the Key to the Reality!
Great fic, if a bit short (and lacking in action).

Ah, I enjoyed this, very entertaining. Both for itself and also for the echoes of 'Like a Sister' that it raised; I could see a lot of this earlier tale in the latter, which is still one of my favourite short stories. For all that Hermione is 'the brain' and such, I don't think I've read another tale (other than Kokopelli's Making Change) which had Hermione engage her logic/intellect in arranging her love life, while still keeping her a warm, empathic girl, avoiding any 'Mr. Spock' cliches.

Anyway - ahem! - back to *Dawn* ... this still pushed a few of the buttons that Like A Sister also did. The idea of the girl going ahead full steam to get her man ... using brains/logic to do so ... and pulling in bits and pieces of canon and the characters' prior history to make it all believable. I think in this story Dawn used a lot more of her series' backstory than Hermione had to, but that's because this setting was much more adversarial, I guess, with Dawn having to overcome/convince several people in order to make her conquest.

Fun story, thanks!
