Wow!
The relationship developement between Harry and Aimee was great this chapter. I really like her character, even if I find it a bit unbelievable that she is supernaturally beautiful in her mid-sixties with out having some sort of huge magical advantage. She has acted like a concerned mother would with out being too smothering. Her accepting of Harry and Gabby's relationship in this chapter makes so much sense as now all of her major objections are addressed and taken care of.
The broom obstacle course was clever, but I sometimes get a little bored with the same old cliche that Harry is unbeatable on a broom. Thankfully, your Harry is not that great at the beater position. The bit about it being harder to go slow than it is to go fast makes sense, even in music.
When the idea of temporarily severing the bond came up I was a little worried, for I didn't think it was a good idea either. Thankfully it didn't last very long, and helped move their relationship along. I liked Ron's little request. as well. Too bad for Harry and Gabby.
The Daily Prophet element of the chapter was a great idea. I just love hearing how Harry has the power over even the media, and can make an example of them whenever they choose to cross the line, and they didn't just cross it they took a flying leap over it. However, I don't like the idea of Percy giving exclusivity, to Rita of all people, with out checking with Harry first. Admittedly, I can't remember what gives Percy the authority to make such a deal, or if he is over stepping his own boundaries.
The proposal date was amazing and a great fluff scene. Gabby' age still bothers me a little seeing as the characters went to such great lengths to prove that she is still under-aged in order to get the Prophet in trouble. I am not a huge supporter of double standards, even if it is with all the best of intentions. Not to say that the Prophet didn't deserve it, far from it, but this is one of those areas in fiction where the line is so hard to draw. Are they basically married because of the bond? Is she older than her chronological/physical age? These are just the thoughts going through my head.
Great chapter, and I can't wait until the beta process is finished on the other two.

As always, brilliant. I especially like the relationship between Harry and Aimee.
Looking forward to the next bit.

Very nice. Worth the wait.
Liked the bit with Jean taking on the Prophet.
The multi-school flying lesson was interesting - he's undermining Hogwarts with competence. Sneaky.
Not much from Dumbles in here. I expect he'll get his eventually?
And Snape -- what's he going to do? Quibbling minds want to know.
Looking forward to more. Thanks for writing this -- it's very enjoyable.

Outstanding work as usual! Though I have come to expect nothing less than that in your writing. You certainly do not disappoint. You will never hear me complain about waiting when you continually give us writing of this caliber.
I think that one of my favorite parts of this chapter is Harry's personal discussion with Aimée. It lends us a side of Harry that we rarely see written, but always hope is there. And having Rita step up and put Sybill in her rightful place was unexpected, but a perfect addition to the storyline. It shows that even an old dog can learn a new trick or two, even if she was doing it to protect her own arse in the long run.
Thank you.

AWESOME! Well worth the wait. You have a fantastic talent - I appreciate you sharing with us. The interaction between Skeeter & Sybil was excellent. I think you nailed her - she is too savvy an operator to do something stupid.
The dinner & dancing scene was great and the scene where they get together was perfect.
Full Marks!

That was absolutely wonderful. This is, hands down, my favorite story and this chapter only made it more so. I am so glad they are finally enjaged and 'safe'. I am also very glad he has finally admitted how he feels about Gabby!
Thanks so much for sharing it.

Loved it!!!!! I really like a good romance, especially when its interwoven so well with other plotlines.
I equally look forward to and dread seeing you finish this wonderful story. I'm looking forward to seeing where you take this and answer some of the questions you've raised (what's up with Dumbledore? etc.) and dread that then the story will be over.
So please keep writing. I wait with much anticipation for anything you care to post.

Wonderful, seriously nice and warm here. Loved the way things went for all concerned. The way that Rita pretty much cut Trelawney's legs out from under her just worked nicely, and that she also guarenteed her future with being on Harry's good side just rocked, along with Harry and Aimee's talk with each other, showed that Harry has made a heck of a right choice, and will be looking forward to what comes of the Hogwarts staff like Dumbledore and Snape, and what little treachery Draco will try to get up to before he's stepped on like the little ant that he is. As you wrote in one of your other stories, Draco is a bullying coward, one who seems to want to be able to control and have power, without having any of the actual responsibility that comes with that, unlike Harry, who has been aware of his responsibility for ages. A question, I understand Remus and Tonks are gone, but unless I missed something, I haven't seen Luna mentioned, so did she survive the war, and if she has or hasn't, what became of her? Thanks for such great writing.

> Because I can do better charms.
*snerk* And another cliche turned on its head.
Liked Harry's comment about being the younger one on a date.
Is Tomas patterned after some shopkeeper you know? That was a fun scene.
Durham Dogstars? Would've taken me forever to guess that.
> At that moment, Gabrielle could have cheerfully stabbed Ron for breaking the intimate mood.
*laugh*
Nice tie-up with the bond suppression thread. Go ahead and suppress it, but the effects are so painful that they want it back immediately. That twist of giving Ron and Hermione a bond for an evening was fun. Though something like that could become addictive (as proven by Harry and Gabby's reaction to losing it).
> "You are wondering why I am not upset?" she guessed.
*laugh* And another cliche bites the dust. I know you've stated you enjoy turning the cliches on their collective ears, but it's still fun to watch.
> The first I want to try is making something float for eternity — like a castle, so that we can live in the sky.
*blink* Damn. I think I can see at least one element of your "Happily Ever After".
*smirk* So much for Sibyll being a valid threat. I really liked that smackdown that Rita gave her. And Rita's actions immediately afterwards are clever. Not "good", per se, but intelligent and doing her job.
Will Jean find out who wrote that article? And have them strung up by their entrails?
*grin* Oh, good. We get to humiliate Flint again. I hope we get to humiliate Snape some more in the last two chapters.
> The person I’m thinking of is an extremely good flying coach, and he might be able to sort out the mess that Malfoy’s incompetence has put the players in."
The obvious answer is Ron, but that's a little too obvious. *think* Nothing else is coming to mind, though.
*snort* Nice try, Natalie.
Nit: Their lawyers have filled an appeal,
filled -> filed (unless that's an English versus American thing)
> "And leave us to face this food alone?" Jean demanded playfully.
He must be in a giddy mood. Strikes me as a bit OoC for him, who hasn't shown a huge sense of humor to this point. I don't know. I don't think I phrased that quite right, but the remark from Jean just feels a touch off.
> Gabrielle placed her quill down and turned to face the corner. A micro-second later, Harry arrived.
Ah, another manifestation of the bond. She's starting to predict some things.
> "On you, yes," he said, before adding, "and off you, as well."
And we have an appearance by SmoothFlirt!Harry
We tied up several loose ends, but we still have several hanging out there. AD, Snape, Malfoy, and so on. Seeing their fates and what'll happen to the Prophet, the Dogstars, how everyone in the known universe reacts to their engagement/bonding . . .
As always, looking forward to the next chapter.

Fantastic chapter!! I loved the way that Rita delt with the pictures and the way that Harry told Ron about not playing for the cannons anymore. I can't wait to see what will happen when the world finds out about Harry and Gabby - Not to mention the excitment that will come from Harry starting his own Quidditch team. That should be a blast. The Flying lesson was loads of fun. I can't wait to see who Harry is going to suggest as a flyng teacher for Hogwarts... That should be an interesting conversation. I loved the way that Gabby 'forgot' to check the bond. And found the shopping trip to Germany to be a very insightful read. I look forward to reading futer chapters. Cheers,
Cassandra

I think Rita has finally learnt her lessons about messing with Harry. It just isn't done. Great chapter. I especially liked the Prophet article and Hermione's spell. Bet Ron enjoyed that bit too. More please. Harry's interactions with Aimee and the obstacle course were great too.
