I could, very easily, develop a real hatred for you. You have such engrossing stories that really grab me, and then just stop. The frustration factor is extreme. I'm going to have to stop reading your stories for a while to allow the heartburn to die back a little before I have a stroke. I am reading your stories in reverse chronological order and seem to be hitting a lot of abandoned, hiatus, drabbles and it's driving me nuts. I don't understand: the stories you abandon or decide aren't good enough to continue are better than the final output of most other authors, yet you don't feel they are good enough! Your standards must be set extremely high, but the stories you complete are generally superior to canon and (in my opinion) absolutely superior to every book after #3.

When / if / as soon as you start writing professionally, you can be assured of at least one dedicated fan. I love your work, even if it does frustrate me occasionally.

Regards,

cwejr

hey I love this story but why is it abandoned? I think this could be one of your best stories if you continued with it. But if you dont want to, can you give it to someone else to adopt? Because I really want to see whats goin to happen.

I'm bummed that this was never finished and agree on all points with James Barber, And I to am wondering what WK,GQ is.

I really like this and I believe that it would end up as a great story. I'd really like to see Mrs. Weasley's reaction to all this is, though.

Honestly, I hope at some point you do change your mind about this one and decide to pick it up again, even if it's in an entirely new direction than it originally entailed.

It *more* than succeeds in the goal of any literary work: it has most assuredly entertained this reader. Someday I'd love to see where this could go if you put fingers to keys on this once more. If not, such is life.

Abandoned or not, it's *very* good.

I know that this is abandoned, but I just wanted to let you know that I read what there was of it today, and you were right -- the connection between Harry and Ginny was a bit abrupt, but the concept that darkness isn't necessarily evil, although done before, always has room to be done well, as it was done in this story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading what there was of it. I understand that you aren't planning to write further on it, but I did want to say that I consider it an entertaining half a story and look forward to whatever you write next.

Intrigued by the way Harry absorbed the darkness and saw it in Ginny too. Finally, a properly explained reason why Lily's sacrifice couldn't have been enough alone and no wishy washy "er, ancient love charm?" stuff. Loved it. Also loved Harry's nightmare that seemed almost like long lost memories. The confrontation with Draco was great fun. Wish this was finished as I think it's brilliant and you made the marriage thing really work. More please if you ever get the urge. Excellent story.

I guess I understand why you'd be reluctant to write "yet another H/G fic", and I'm certainly glad you gave us WKGQ. I disagree, though, that this would have had "few redeeming features".

First of all, I like the Ginny in this story for her independence and her humor; she's more Harry's equal than she often is made out to be.

Also, the concept of the "darkness" as power could go in some interesting places too. Is it *really* completely free of intrinsic evil? Or is it going to present some sort of moral challenge to Harry and Ginny that they don't yet see? They may be nearly omnipotent, but they're not omniscient.

And what's up with the goblins? They clearly see Harry as an opportunity for something. What do they want? And what will the rest of wizarding society do if Harry helps them get it?

Anyway, thanks for sharing this fragment; even if you never pick it up again, it was a fun read.

I don't know this was pretty damn good, it such a shame you have abandoned it. To me this was as good as "This Means War" and to me that means alot! In my opionion TMW is the best hp fanfiction on the internet!
