As the reviewer below noted, a little harsh and cold-blooded... but explained very well, and it would not really have worked any other way. This, at least as much as any other story of yours I've read, really hammers home how amazingly you've matured as an author since the first chapter or three of TMW, let alone the earlier works posted here.

I am floored. This has been a spectacular read.

Call this a preliminary review. I'm about a third through the, and I will finish it later. As usual, your writing style is pleasant. Definitely "easy on the eye".

But so far this story is very, very harsh and cold-blooded. So far, I can't say that I like either of your Harry or Gabrielle characters. Exactly why? I can't quite put my finger on it yet.

I *do* find the supporting cast quite good, though.
