You do manage to pull anything you set to paper off. Another great piece.

Very nice! Part fighting, part fluff, part healing. Good stuff.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

OK, I'm back and I finished reading it. Tim, I'm glad I read your author notes, because I didn't get cheered from this story either. Sorry. Normally I really enjoy your literary products, but not this time.
Again, it's well-written, I just don't find it enjoyable.

Jeconais, I have to say this is another great job you have done here. I could feel the emotions they were expressing I was in the memories you were explaining I absolutely loved it. I can not wait to read more from you. And as you said you were writing this to 'cheer' yourself up, I bet writing a second part to WK/GQ would do that splendidly /wink

That... was a damn fine war story. Not enough of those in HP fanfic, at least not for my taste. Nicely done, Sir. Nicely done.

Interesting story.
I got lost on the age / time thing. If I got it right, Harry gave up 60 years so should end up around 120 before dieing and spent 13 years somewhere in the past. Nothing says how much time Gabrielle gave up but she spent 15 years in the past. Unless I'm totally off base and the ages they gave had absolutely no meaning whatsoever.

You may not consider it your best work, but it was still brilliant. May you never lose your muse(s)!

Very interesting.
I can see why this didn't cheer you up, as it was pretty depressing.
I'm not sure what I feel about the story itself, but I can say that, as usual, you pulled me in with your writing, and I could easily imagine every scene in my mind (didn't hurt that I'd seen a tour on TV of the Burj Al Arab).
I liked the bantering between Aurors. I wish we'd know who, if either of them, won the bet, but I understand why you ended it where you did.
Thanks again for a great (if unsettling) fic,
Meg

Tim,
Another great job. Great characterization, excellent action and profound motivation. Exactly the kind of story that we've gotten used to from you. If only she-who-must-not-be-named could do so well.
Thanks for another amazing effort--as always, I will look forward to your next story.
Best in all things.

Very well written, in a quite painful way. I've got tears in my eyes.

Hey Jeconais,

was not expecting this kind of a story.
But please, write on.

I liked this piece, especially the ambiguity. You've spelled out the price paid by these two, and the magnitude of their sense of 'what next' is quite palpable. I think your choice of endpoint for the story was well made. There's lots to think about here, and I thank you for sharing it with us.

Nice story. Although, you have it wrong: The "Town House Galleria" in Italy has 7 Stars by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS). As far as I know it is the only one.
