aftermath was definitely my favorite story out of the 300 or so that i keep tabs on. i hate that u discontinued it and i have to tell you that the continuations i have seen are nowhere as good as yours. i wish you would continue with this story, but we cant all get what we want, i guess.

Alright guys, disregard my earlier comments. I obviously confused 'Aftermath' with 'Alone'. The ideas you suggested seem to be appliable to 'Alone' as well, for the most part (except maybe the Quidditch match).

Tim, you're right, it's obvious that your ability has improved a tremendous amount since you wrote this. If you decide to devote yourself to your other stories instead, I don't mind at all.

The other things that have nothing to do with the mix-up obviously still stand.

Also, 'Red and Yellow' is posted right here on this side, it's the Harry/Hannah story. Check it out, Heather.

Your ideas sound better than what's being written on that story right now. From what I've seen, the continued stories keep him in permanent Terminator mode and that gets old after a while. Your ideas seem to flesh him out a little more and bring out his humanity.

I, too, am sorry to hear that you have abandoned 'Aftermath', but if there are comtinuations of the story out there that people have written, could you post the links to them at the bottom of 'Aftermath' so we can find them easier? Also, Quizer, where is 'Red and Yellow' posted? I'd like to read it.

this whole thing with harry trying to learn to be human reminds of this anime called full metal panic fumoffu. the main character's a 16 year old counterterrorism agent who has to blend in with normal high school kids, but he uses excessive force and violence to respond to everyday events. now i'm thinkng of Aftermath being like that, except with magic...

Too bad. I liked Aftermath, too, and would rather see it continued by you rather than someone else (I don't trust many people to provide your kind of quality). I'm aware that Aftermath hasn't the same kind of scope as your other multi-chaptered stories, but it was a fun read nonetheless.
There might be people out there who are able to continue your fics adequately, but you really shouldn't have posted your ideas for everyone to see like that. They're very good and would have made for several good laughs, but if we now see them realized in someones work (which will probably happen, since they ARE good ideas), the reader will recognize it and just think "D'oh!", and most of the effect will have been lost. This applies mostly to point two and three.

However if ceding this story to your readers means that 'Hope', 'This Means War' or 'Wild Horses' gets updated more quickly, I certainly won't complain.

I especially like the latter of the mentioned fics, despite me having never seen a single episode of Buffy. It's a credit to your writing ability that you can take such a complex world and make it understandable even to outsiders, while still adding tons of new stuff to it. When I read that you 'gave' the story to Kinsfire to play with, I paused a moment to mourn your sanity. He'll probably write it into a Xander/Dawn/Harry love triangle. If I ever see hints of something like that, I'll probably stop reading his stuff to preserve MY sanity.

Please continue writing on that fic, too!
