Hermione, by keeping the secret that Harry is alive will earn her Harry's eventual forgiveness.

Draught of living death - created with an infusion of wormwood and asphodel. That was Snape's harassment question to Harry in his first potions class. How fitting! Ha ha ha.

That was decidedly satisfying. I read it in order of publication, not chronology, and I think I prefer it this way (though I do read Lewis' 'Chronicles of Narnia' by chronology, so there's another data point). Part of me wishes you would continue this storyline -- I do enjoy a "Harry fixes everything wrong with the wizarding world" fic -- but I can see that it's pretty much run out of steam due to lack of ongoing tension, besides the issue with Ron and Hermione. Anyway, great work, as usual.

Of all the revenges fan fiction has planned out for Severus Snape, I have to say you came up with perhaps the most satisfying. Many thanks for your excellent fic.

Who do you mean when you mention the name Alistair in this chapter? Do you mean the Sorting Hat?

I just reread this story, and am so happy that I did so. It was a very entertaining read and on I have enjoyed quite a bit. Though same as the last time I read it, I want to know what actually happens to them. Excellent work all around.

Death Eater bbq for the win. Seriously, write a full story using that phrase.

Honestly, this was better then Perfect Situations, you write a great Weasley Twin(s)

So when do we get more of this series of vignettes?

wolfey posted a comment on Tuesday 20th March 2012 3:25pm

Ok I love this series. Maybe could have a minor sequel to see the wizarding worlds reaction when potter kids turn up to be sorted looking like minature harrys and whatnot.

Just re-read the story, in chronological order. I still think you need the final revenge against Dumbledore. He's still there, making plans and plots, and just doesn't get it. I do get the impression, from "Forgive me Father" that the note from him to the Quibbler will fall on death ears.

Also, what's with the Egyptian tomb? I couldn't remember a resolution of that, and now I know why -- you didn't give one.

But thanks for a great story.

Having read this a few times, I always wish that it would continue, or come to some more definite conclusion. I feel we are just left here, wondering what happens when:
Dumbledore tries to 'visit' Daphne; or
How Mrs. Weasley feels about her Ginny not becoming the next 'Mrs. Potter'; or
Who else comes to live with Harry and Daphne on the Island; or
What happens when Professor McGonnagal becomes Headmistress of Hogwarts; or
How many children do they have,
How they (the children) are received when they begin their schooling at Hogwarts
Are Hermione and Ginny able to get on with their life without Harry
Does Hermione ever get a chance to tell Harry she's sorry
Does Percy get back with Penny
How does Percy become Minister of Magic
How to the Goblins benefit from what's going on
Are the twins ever able to 'settle down' and with whom

You could probably write for hours some of the different scenes for the cast in JKR's world to take on, but I guess, after a while, it would be just like 'Mr. Black' in Rorschach's Blot's 'Make a Wish'.

Still, thank you for sharing this with us. There are to few good Harry / Daphne stories for my liking, much like Pansy in 'White Knight, Grey Queen' (another classic).

Should you choose to add additional chapters, I'm sure you'll find plenty of people to read them.

I look forward to your next endeavor.

I've always enjoyed your stories and this one is no different, but it feels incomplete. You have Harry and Daphne seeking to change the wizading world, or at least wizarding Britain, but it never happened in this story. I kind of get the feeling your leaving the vague ending on purpose, and I suppose I'm just use to actually have a straightfoward ending, but I do wish there was some kind of ending.

I have now read all the Vignettes in chrono order. I just love the picture that they paint of 1998.

I fell sorry for some of the characters, quite happy for others and I want to see justice served for several.

Snape is in his gilded cage, but what will happen to Dumblebum and the Ministry? How will the Potters & Weasleys change wizarding England? What is in the crypt and how did it get there?

Thanks for the great story, I just hope for more.

too funny.

Love Fred & George. This story just cracked me up.

Thanks

Sweet revenge. Son of a bitch deserved that and much more.

Loved it.

I LOVE your portrayal of Fred and George here. I really wish we could see more of them in this vein in more fanfics. Or even that someone were to take JKR's Wizarding World and blend it in with a healthy dose of The Hustle based around the antics of these two jokers as you have them here.

Thanks for this, it really pulled up my mood!

I've always loved Fawkes. It's interesting to read something fromhis point of view. I chuckled a bit when he described the bungee jumping incident. Good job!
