Oh, I so sorry that I had bot read this before now. It os a good clean hookup or the true, soon to be Potter's
now I hope that you have not stopped writing about Harry and Hermione, they are a really good match for each other and should have been written different in the cannon.
I know that you are done with this story but I hope that you will have more to read in the future.

I needed some comfort reading so I picked this up again :-( :-). I've always loved this one. I don't know if I've commented on it before, but this line:

> He slid off the chair to sit next to her, and she hid a small sigh. He had an intuitive nobility ...

has always been a classic. It's early on in the piece but sets the stage well, makes us happy that Hermione has picked right, that our girl has the best boy around :-). It sets everything up nicely for what follows as Hermione talks Harry around.

You once said that you might write a sequel to this - something about the couple's first visit to the Dursleys? It's not in your list though so I guess it won't be done. I've read a few "Harry & Ginny return to the Dursleys after the death of Voldemort for a final farewell" and they've been okay - most if not all, I suspect, were "forceful post-HBP Ginny puts the Dursleys in their place" - but I would have enjoyed seeing what your Hermione might have done. Would she have exacted some revenge for her own personal enjoyment, or would she logically work out what would give the best return for her Harry, what would best put his memories of his early years at rest? Revenge, aloofness, one-up-manship, pity? Ah well. Thanks again for this.

Jeconais replied:

This is my most popular one shot, but it also represent a lot of thought into how a H/Hr relationship could happen.

I've never had another idea that would work as well - which was one of the main reasons I ever did anythign with it.

There will definitely not be a sequel.

Wonderful story!!!!!! The logical Hermione and the shy, broken Harry - It was very erotic the way she used logic.Zucht413@yahoo.com

Until you actually stated it was Harry, I didn't know it was him. I think you did a good job stating it when it was about to become obvious. Now if this wasn't a one-shot it would be better ;)

How did I miss this gem? I'll admit to being a Harry Hermione shipper, and this one is superb. I may never be this good at writing, but it's something to aim for.

I see you have used various pairings in your stories, but this one sure hit home for me.
I've always hated the fact that it seems that there was a clear influence on the canon plotline since the 5th book, and that epilogue at the end of the 7th book sure made me think WTF?!?!?!

I like that way you portrayed Harry, Hermione , and Ron as i think this is a plausible story w/o Hollywood's influence!

I can't tell you how many times I've read this fic. I love it, it's probably my very favorite one, ever!
It's just so Harry and Hermione, you know?
I keep this on my favorites list and read it at least once a month, it just kind of calls to me. I absolutely love it.
Thank you.

Pretty good. It would be nice to continue this one, but as a short fic, it stands by itself.

I'll admit that for cannon i leaned hard for a H/Hr ending and to be true to myself glad that it didn't happen since over all i was disappointed with the last two books. And reading stories like this are a considerable reason that i was. This was amazing in keeping the characters as they are and still making it believable. The insecurites and the flaws of all the characters.

I actually found myself truely going yeah the massive amount of research is what Hermione would have done. Than Harry slightly controlling everyone around him jsut because he was worried about where they would be when he died. Even down to Ron's own self image and why he wants the things that he does. Although beign haveing such a empowered Aunt i would hope that Susan was more than a homebody and alot like Molly.

That and you even dated the story well. The computer descriptions brings back happy and angry at slow connections.

I've read a few of your other works and I'll admit that you haven't converted me, but that could be since I have already been branching out. I would love to see your take on a few other characters. Marietta Edgecombe, Tonks, and if you could ever find a way of bring an acceptable way to come bring it across Bella. You create each situation so well I'm even now willing to take a look at your H/G. Which has been a pairing that JKR destroyed for me after her little speech at the end of HBP, but for you i going to put my thoughts on it aside at give it a chance.

Once again great one shot. I don't know if i would like another chapter off of this particular story, but maybe a completely different AU all on its own if you ever find time. well i've more than likely rambled on enough so thank you for such a enjoyable piece.

It had been several months since I had re-read this - and i just flat enjoyed the heck out of it.

It is everything that a oneshot story should be, complete, tensions resolved, pacing impeccable - overall excellent. just the thing to read while hoping that Santa will drop a new Jeconais (tm) story in my stocking.

warmest regards and best wishes for Christmas and a very happy and healthy new year.

Pretty good, I'm just sad that it isn't to be continued...

Really enjoyed this, very well-written, and from a great perspective. I usually ship Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny, but this ship really works. I wonder if JKR ever considered matching Harry with Hermione?

oh.........and you've not written a follow up? I mean..it's screaming out for one!! I would love to know what happens next!! You've shown their love so well and done such a great job with both the dialog and the emotions that I have to chide you for not continuing with it.

So..please?

I LOVED IT! It was great how you had Hermione approach her and Harry being together in such a logical way, but I would have been red as a tomato explaining my fantasies to a guy I liked. Great job!
