I've tried to find somebody writing fanfiction better than you, but I think I should give up. Probably It's not even your best story, nevertheless I just can't express how much did I like that. In contrast with ffn authors, lacking in quality, punctuation and grammar, your works always inspire me. Thanks for that. I hope that you enjoy your retirement.

Unlike many other fics who bash the fuck out of every weasley including Molly, and make Harry 'steal' their lovers, this was well written and a bit realistic. Everything felt plausible. You portrayed Harry's loyalty and utmost integrity without resorting to senseless bashing. And Fleur didn't immediately jump ships. The transistion felt slow, painful and yet meaningful. Good work!

I loved this story, but for a bit of confusion: Ginny told Fleur that she told the strippers to leave Bill, Remus, and Ron alone, as they were all in relationships; Fleur, however, told Harry that the strippers were told to leave Bill, Remus, and Harry alone. Was that a typo, or was Fleur subconsciously looking to place a claim on Harry? :)

This is a rather interesting story. I like that you chose not to have Fleur and Harry sleep together, and to leave out that whole thing about the wedding being cancelled because of a contract, but used a much more logical and realistic reason for the wedding not happening. Not only that, but intentionally or not, the way it ended seemed to set up a potential Harry/Fleur thing that could be explored during the Horcrux hunt. Maybe even a Harry/Hermione one as well if she gets past seeing him as a brother. What makes the set-up so brilliant, is that it wasn't forced, and it's ambiguous enough that whether a pairing results from this or not, it's believable and you can completely see why things happened the way they did.

I really like as you wrote it, better than tha challenge, but I would love to see when Harry end Voldy and Fleur get his second chance with Harry I really like the pairing, been Harry after that. He is in maturity older than even Fleur, so I think it could work at that point in time.
I'm two years older than my husband and we just have our 20 anniversary, one year more is not so much.

i liked the story and how deep it got at parts, especially the talk between harry and fleur. i also enjoy harry/fleur paired stories so that made this one even more enjoyable even though werent officially a couple.

What ever happened to 'The greatest trick' I was rather looking forward to seeing that one.... Well, to be honest I Look forward to pretty much everything you post, but I always keep coming back to this one. It's a hell of a setup, and I keep trying to figure out how I'd continue it in your shoes. I keep hem-hawing about whether I'd leave it H/Fl or throw in a little multi. Maybe start it in first year just after Harry saved Hermoine from the Troll. She swears an oath to always be there for him and/or look out for him which is why she always pushed him to better himself? It could still be strictly platonic then, but might hold hint of possible romance for the two of them if the situation devolves just right.... Maybe add a hot headed oath from Fluer to never leave him to fight alone if she had any control over it during the bedroom scene... Might throw Luna into the mix in a very 'Wizards Fall' type personality where they are a good match but she's not sure she wants two sister/wives which would be the only way they would actually form a proper multi and is perfectly content with teasing a meddling untill after Voldimort is dead.... Something like that perhaps... Anyway, just wanted to drop a note to tell you how much I have and continue to enjoy reading your works, I seem to end up re-reading a good chunk of them about once a year. Best Regards, Manatheron

Well thought out, nicely done. Captured the true expression of this story of the basis of friendship and trust in a relationship, whether it be marriage or something more. Is Harry noble? Is he human, flawed and capable of acts, dishonourable? Strangely enough, you answered both questions well.
